Call me ignorant or whatever. I really believe that w/ the signing of Lucas there are so many ways to use him. I am trying to figure out where the Clipper's management see Lucas shine
#1 as a confident for PlAYERS ( Black, White, Brown or Green, players seem to LOVE him
#2 As a BUFFER for Dunleavy VS the Players
#3 As a future "CLIPPER" Head Coach, someone who Dunleavy (as a G.M.)likes and Respects
#4 Insurance that Dunleavy may keep ONE CLIPPER job after the season
#5 Role Model
What are the other possibilities?
I really like this addition to the STAFF, I feel like we got over on so many other organizations

ClipperBlog had a good writeup about him. Apparently players love him, so with that in mind, could we finally foresee some good chemistry among our young players? *cough BARON DAVIS cough*

All of the above. I really would like to see him as our Head Coach. As an assistant he would have big effect on players' motivation

Re: How will the Clippers use Lucas?
He's a player's coach so I expect him to act as an intercessor between the players and Dunleavy. The other assistants each have their roles, so I am kind of expecting him to be the motivator. After the players have tuned out Dunleavy, they have another voice that they can listen to who may be able to deliver the message more productive way. I do expect the team to have a better camaraderie this season, and Lucas should only help add to it.
