Training Camp Roster Revealed.

Tick-tock: Clipper training camp approaching
September 25, 2009 | 3:50 pm

Few housekeeping duties on the eve of training camp … or,as we were joking today over at Clippers HQ in Playa Vista: Three shopping days remaining before media day.

The first official practice of training camp is Tuesday morning and media day is Monday.

There will be 18 players in camp next week, four of them free agents: shooting guard Kareem Rush, point guard Anthony Roberson, shooting guard Jerel McNeal and forward Taj Gray.

Rush, the much traveled older brother of Brandon Rush of the Pacers, has played with three NBA teams the last four seasons, with a stop in Lithuania between gigs in Seattle and Indiana. He spent last season with the 76ers.

What do y'all think? It'd be nice if one of these guys turn out to be a gem.

Only ones I've heard of are Rush and Roberson. I wouldn't mind giving Roberson a shot, he averages 4.1 points in 9.1 minutes for his career and played 4 minutes for the Bulls in the post season, dropping 8 points.

Props Illa.

I've heard of Gray, but don't know much about him. I've never heard of McNeal until now. McNeal was on the Kings Summer League Team. According to his Draft Express profile, he is an undersized 2 with handles, on-ball D and decent passing. Gray is an undersized 4 out of Oklahoma that has played overseas the last few years. Roberson could be an interesting pick up. He can score and hit from the outside. I'm kind of disappointed that Caner-Medley didn't get a shot, but he's not really needed at this point.

McNeal was solid at Marquette. Does all of the little things right, and has a good offensive game.

I was surprised that McNeal wasn't drafted in the 2nd round, I think he's a goo addition to the summer league roster. I do think that Rush has the best chance of making our team.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Rush should get the nod IMO.
