Blake is definitely the player of the game with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist & 1 steal. It seems like he has more steals than that, but that's what is on the boxscore. 10 of 14 shooting and 3 of 4 at the line. He had a 1 handed alley oop, some jumpshots and layups. Thornton came alive in the 4th quarter to help seal the game. He finished with 18 points & 4 boards on 8 of 11 shooting. Jordan finished with 15 points, 8 boards, a block and a steal. He turned the ball over, missed about 4 consecutive free-throws, but he made both when the game was on the line.
Blair had a nice line with 11 points and 12 boards in 24 minutes. Former Clipper Marcus Williams also played well down the stretch. He finished with 11 points in 18 minutes.
It was a good win. It's preseason, but it's good to see the guys pull out 3 straight victories under different circumstances each game. They've also shown resiliency and the ability to close out games. A lot of the vets were able to rest tonight. Kaman, Gordon & Camby all got the night off, while Butler and Baron played in reduced minutes. Telfair was given more time off to rest his tweaked hammy. I hope that he's able to get some decent run in the last few preseason games.
