Kareem Rush Done for Season

Post#1 » by mkwest » Wed Nov 18, 2009 8:46 am

Clippers guard Kareem Rush suffered a torn right ACL with 2:31 remaining in the first quarter of the Clippers 110-102 loss in New Orleans on Nov. 17. He traveled with the team to Memphis and is out for tomorrow night’s game. Rush will be reevaluated when the Clippers return to Los Angeles on Nov. 19.

Rush has appeared in seven games for the Clippers in 2009-10 and is averaging 1.5 points per game.

Rush came into the lockerroom on crutches after the game and will fly with the Clippers to Memphis.

Kareem Rush telling me in lockerroom he just knew it was a bad knee injury: "I’ve never felt pain this bad like this before.”

It's sad. He had a personal matter in between games and flew home to deal with that. Then he flew to New Orleans to join the team only to injure his knee :(

Get well soon Kareem.

Maybe he should suit up then as well.

Could help us get rid of him(at least for some time) if he's got to recover from injury...

Anyways, get well soon Kareem.

Indeed, just as he was becoming quite productive for us off the bench too. I hope he gets better soon.

He is out for season.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

Hope he recovers and can continue his career next year.

Bring iverson in. He can help us win or be a coach killer. Either way we win!

I'm not surprised that it's a season ending injury. It looked pretty bad last night and Kareem looked like he was in a lot of pain.

Have a speedy recovery Kareem
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I felt so bad for Kareem when this happened. Like the others said, hope for a speedy recovery. So are we going to cut him to open up a roster spot now?
