Star of the Game 11/29 VS Grizzlies
An amazing finish. If you remember the movie Angels in the Outfield, it was like Angels on the Hardwood for the Clippers in the 4th quarter. 22-0 run in the last 5:07 of the game with us outscoring the Grizzlies 33-7 in the 4th. Defense and getting points on the break is what pushed us over the top. Every defensive possession we either blocked a shot, stole the ball or made them put up a bad shot. The defensive intensity was infectious in the closing minutes and everybody was on their game. The crowd was into this game like you rarely hear them.

Gotta give this to EJ. He looked like he was back to full strength.

I wholeheartedly disagree. It has to be Camby. Without his interior D, this game is a 30 point blowout.

John Lucas was the star of the game. With about 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter Lucas starting clapping & getting vocal at the Clipper players. Lucas was the coach who was calling out plays and yelling for more intensity on defense..
Dunleavy got up twice in the 4th; once when we got it down to 8 (he sat down real quick when the Clippers turned it over) and when we got it to 5. The real coaching from the clippers bench came from Lucas. Mike, fire yourself, hire Lucas as the head coach & take all the accolades. The players have proven they will play for John Lucas

I definitely would not give it to Gordon, yeah he scored but most of his points were open layups created by other peoples defence. He had a few airballs today and some really bad turnovers. I would have to give Camby the nod. His defence is what sparked all those fast breaks in the 4th and he was one of the few to play well in the rest of the game. Great game by Marcus.

Defense won this game for us so I give it to Camby. After the game he was interviewed and the first thing he said was thank you for having Eric Gordon back. Camby is a class act.
By the way Lucas gets props too. Did anyone else notice he had a protective boot on and was still jumping around? Haha. Now that's passion!

Re: Star of the Game 11/29 VS Grizzlies
We scored 20 points in 3:50. That's crazy.
It's hard to choose when everybody put in so much effort. Everybody wants to run, and when you play with that kind of defensive intensity, you can run all day long. Baron and Al both played good defense down the stretch. Al forced Gay into some bad shots, Baron pressured the ball and made some deflections. If those 2 guys are stepping up on defense, things should be going very well. Camby was insane. He was a rebounding machine, he blocked and changed so many shots. He communicated with the rest of our players so that we were in sync to make the stops. EJ was active on just about every play down the stretch. He was always in the right place at the right time to recover the loose ball and lead the break with either an assist or go straight to the hoop for the score and occasional and-1. His passes were on point and lead to easy fastbreak baskets. He also did a great job defensively on Mayo. I went with him, but it could just as easily be the Cambyman.
That was a beautiful thing. How often do you ever see that kind of passion coming from our bench?

I say the star of the game should be the Clipper defense, but since that isn't an option I'm going with EJ
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Baron played well, Thornton with another strong 4th quarter performance, EJ was doing everything, nice and ones to finish fast breaks, had 5 assist and played good defence. I went with Camby, though. He kept us in the game throughout the first 3 quarters with his tip shots and his defence was great.

It's between Camby and Gordon. Would some other player convert all those "easy" layups, including and ones? His three point shooting was ugly though, two awful airballs.

I missed the game but from the highlights I saw, EJ helped get the Clippers over the hump and into the lead. I vote Gordon.
