Strange that J.A Adande would post Dec 23rd or from Blake Griffin. They don't play on the 23rd. Weird.

There isn't even a consensus on when he will get his next set of tests on the knee. Clippers general manager/coach Mike Dunleavy said it could be on Dec. 18 or Dec. 22. Griffin said he thinks it will happen Dec. 23. A Clippers spokesman said the exact date hasn't been set yet.

Blake is having his CT scan done on the 23rd. This will help dictate what he is able to do afterward. Hopefully be will able to begin participating in non-contact basketball activities.

I think he plays at the beginning of Jan. 2010 with a home-stand where he'll get limited bench minutes. Playing time with a lot of minutes by the trade deadline. I think this Clipper team will be forced too especially if they hover around .500 with a shot at the playoffs.

I agree, I think he will see the court some time in January
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I got way too excited when I saw this title. I think this is going to drag out for a while.

Hopefully he plays the first week in January and stays healthy all the way through the postseason.

Folks, don't get your hopes up too high.

He'll have that CT scan next Wednesday, which is about one week before new years eve and hasn't even taken jumpshots for two months.
Even if everything's healed( ) by then, he still needs to practise and start strengthen his knee, while also trying to work himself back into game shape.

I think we should be really happy if he's able to come back sometime around mid January(hasn't there been a report stating something like this?), while playing limited minutes during his first couple of games.

So did I. I've been thinking mid-January all along, but this thing got me thinking, "Christmas! No way!" He is the reason we were scheduled to play a Christmas Day game after all, woulda been sweet to have him back for it. But I agree with what most of you said here-- a January comeback, w/ limited bench minutes.
