College Hoops/Clippers Draft Watch 2010

Post#1 » by Det the Threat » Sat Dec 26, 2009 10:43 am

Here's a thread to talk about College Hoops and guys that might be a possibility for us in next years draft.

We've got our own first round pick and the Nuggets 2nd rounder.

As our starting five is pretty much set with Baron, EJ, Thornton, Griffin and Kaman, we should take the BPA and upgrade our bench, if there isn't a way to upgrade at the sf position and make Thornton our 6th man.

Guys i really like are Even Turner of Ohio State and Devin Ebanks of West Virginia. Turner is a do it all guy that can play multiple positions(1 - 3) and help our bench. Ebanks is a great scorer and a sf that can shoot from distance. The problem with Turner is, that he's having a fantastic season and might be off the board when we're on line.

So who are your favourites?
And what would you like to do?
Take the BPA?
Upgrade a specific position?
Trade the pick?

BTW: As always, here are the two most known mock draft sites in the business.

I think it is a little too early to discuss who we are going to draft, this would be more appropriate when we know if we are going to the playoffs or not. Right now we would have a low lottery pick and I think we could use another wing player.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

This wasn't meant to be a thread about crying because of Clippers losses and talking about draft prospects, as we tank the season.

It's more about talking College Hoops and maybe telling about some kids you really like because of watching some NCAA games.

I think we should target a SF, ideally Evan Turner. I have a man-crush on that guy, and who knows if he might fall a little with his injury.

We need to target a SF, no question about that.

Wesley Johnson from Syracuse is a stud. Luke Babbit also has a real, real nice touch to his game.

We need to package this pick along with minnys pick for a legit starting SF. I'm thinking we might have to trade for a SF because I doubt lebron or Wade are coming here.

But before we think about adding players we should wait to see if we get a new coach! I bet even if lebron was here, dunleavy will find a way to screw it up.
