Idea for Gordon?

Post#1 » by Optimism Prime » Fri Feb 5, 2010 1:35 am

So, he has to use a teammate for the dunk-off, yes?

Why not have Camby try to block his dunk attempt? That should quiet all the people who think that in-game dunks are better... plus it'll give the dunk contest its first posterization.

Someone pass that along to Eric, okay? :D

PS: Congrats on the Dunleavy news!

I have had that idea in the back of my mind for years now. I don't think it should be Camby that he tries to dunk over, I mean if he can pull it off it would be sick. But Camby is a blocking machine, he can almost block anything.

As for what EJ will do no one really knows.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I'm kind of looking forward to what he can do. Everybody (EJ included) was surprised by his selection. He does have the athleticism, but will he bring the flair and creativity? Too bad Mike Taylor isn't around to show him a few things.

If a teammate has to set him up, it's gotta be Baron. He and EJ just have to be in sync. They've had some failed attempts at alley-oops in games in the past. Baron could definitely set him up with something fancy and in the right spot.

What happens if Camby actually does block him?

Or should he only go thorough the motions and intentionally miss? Which would look pretty lame.

I do, however, like the concept of a one on one game where one has to dunk on the other. Sort of like a hockey shoot out. The problem is if the center knows the dunk is coming and he is in position that thing is being swatted away 95% of the time.
