I like Deng but he's not really an outside shooter, not a threat from downtown and thus not a "perfect" fit for the Clippers but definitely somebody I like as an option should all else fail, including no Lebron (he's never coming to LA) and no Aminu available at #8.

I'd prefer to go for somebody other than Deng's big contract though, like Childress or T-Mac along with the #8 draft pick for SF if we strike out.

He basically said that LeBron wants to be courted/recruited since he never experienced that coming straight out of college and skipping college.

He says that LeBron likes Kaman, thinks Griffin will be a star in the league, but Gordon really stood out to him. EJ has had some big games against the Cavs in his 2 years in the league. In those 4 games, EJ has averaged 20.3ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.3apg, 1.5spg & 0.8bpg on 47.5% FG, 45% 3PFG & 82.4% FT. Who would have thunk it. It probably doesn't mean much at all, but it's nice to know that he has taken notice if it is true.

Sounds great, but I think Cowherd is terrible. I think he makes things up as he goes along

If Pierce opts out and wants to leave Boston, perhaps the Clippers could intrigue him to come home. Perhaps that would turn the Clips into contenders next year as they could sign a second free agent because Pierce won't command a max deal

Interesting report. If a team could potentially nab Paul, Lebron would go to that team.

I'm curious, what would it take to actually take away CP3? Would you be willing to part with Gordon? I think I would...

Not saying this is actually possible. CP3 will probably stay with the Hornets unless he becomes vocal about it.

In all honesty, I'd be willing to part with anybody on this team to grab CP3.

I don't know that I'd give up Kaman. I know dude isn't exactly a fan-favorite anymore, but I feel that swapping him for Paul would be counter-productive, because CP3 is really at his best when a big man is around. But if we could swing a deal giving up either Kaman OR Griffin, ya got to do it.

I love Chris Paul as a player, and believe that he is the hands down best pg in the game when he is healthy. My concern with breaking the bank to add him is his knee. He recently had a meniscus removed. He should be good in the short term, but who knows in the long run? I would hate to give up a lot of pieces and then have him end up with knee trouble/microfracture surgery.

A big man.

Not a good big man.

You guys could find some big guys and make it work.

Jalen Rose thinks that Lebron will almost certainly leave Cleveland and believes that the Bulls, Heat and Clippers are the three likliest teams he'll go to.

Jalen Rose reports from his sources that LeBron James will almost certainly not return to the Cavaliers as a free agent.

Rose lists the Bulls, Heat and Clippers in parentheses, presumably James' likeliest

I keep hearing so many scenarios being mentioned, I think I'm just gonna wait a few weeks and see how it plays out. I don't want to be toyed with believing that we have a chance and it turns out we really don't. I just don't wanna get my hopes up and become disappointed.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

It sucks that Griffin got hurt last year. I think the Clippers are a great fit for LeBron, but like OP stated with Griffin not playing last season no one knows how good or bad he really is or if he's going to recover well.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved
