Blake Griffins statistical expectations

Post#1 » by Jenner » Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:36 pm

What kind of numbers do you guys envision Blake putting up this year? He probably has to share touches with Baron, Kaman and Gordon but I imagine him being somewhere around 15-10 with about 2-3 ast, and a steal and a block, while shooting above 50%. What do you guys think?

I'm going to say about 17ppg, 9rpg, 2.5apg and at least 1 big-time dunk every other game. Griff's impact is not just going to be on a statistical end though, his presence will serve as a solid rock for the whole franchise. That calming, confident, rely-on-me , don't back down to anyone attitude-----al la Chauncey Billups-----is what Blake will give the team, and those attributes go WAY beyond just numbers.

I agree, Blake will have a huge impact due to his work ehtic and calm demeanor. He could be a great leader. I am curious to see what his defense will be like, I wonder if he will be able to block shots and protect the paint. Either way I really love this kid. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
