Agrees. We've played almost every sort of team in the league already. From contending teams, to playoff teams, even young and rebuilding teams and we still manage to screw up games. We havent even played the freakin Lakers, Celtics, Heat or Magic yet! I like the team's young pieces but its just so wrong watching them play game in and game out just getting losses.

Young talent my ass. EJ is busting his ass off with one arm and Blake is beasting.. but 2 men can't beat a whole team. This season is gone to hell. I miss the mid-2000's, that Cassell stuff was entertaining! Now, I realize that we're ****, our team may be getting moved, and my "happy we've got youth!" mentality is dying slowly.

I never expected a start like this, but I will be patient and take the season one game at a time.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Yeah.. you're right. But at the same time, you're wrong. One game at a time with 1-12 is a bit.. over err.. over optimistic?

The thing we miss is Cassel or his leadership. NONE of the players on this team can lead like a Billups can. Kaman can't, BD won't, EJ can't, Griffin can't. Even a Stephen Jackson would be a huge improvement to our team. Not saying we should bring him in, but he's the type of guy who could light a fire under their arses.

Yeah, but I think it's only because the other players fear for their lives...

Hehehe, sure. But I'd rather have a guy who might get in soem trouble BUT gives 100% effort every night and is able to step up and lead than people who caost and don't care. If Stephen wants to absorb contact and still get his shot off in front of stripclubs, it's not my problem.

aww man! DeAndre got Daily Dime's Thursday's Worst player :(

DeAndre Jordan, Clippers: He has been getting the start at center while Chris Kaman is out, but the Clippers are going to need more than zero points (0-for-7) and five fouls from the big man.

I didn't realize that he played that bad last night. He usually contributes something. The whole team was just off last night, let's just make last night a game that we should all just forget.

Clips need their own version of Ron Artest. Something to keep the team on it's heels. Oh why did we not get Camby back. Camby has more defense than the Clips right now.

I would say it's not so much taking it one game at a time, as it is taking the long view. Against Indiana our oldest starter was DJ at 22.

Does anyone remember how we started way back in 2000? We had an even younger lineup that year. I know we started out rough around the edges (but don't remember W/L record at beginning), but played .500 ball after the all-star break.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_d ... nba-287495

The Clippers don't lose in a way that forces you into wondering if these kids will ever get it. They are kids, mind you. DeAndre Jordan(notes) was the oldest starter on Thursday at age 22, and you felt that sort of knowledge, watching this game. But they do try, they do work, they just don't know any better. They have no idea. Here's hoping this team gets some wins under its belt before the NBA loses these players -- these talents -- to terrible habits, in the same way that we're seeing with the Knicks right now.

The Clippers just have no clue how to play at this level. The effort isn't what I'd call pristine, but it isn't the problem, and they've no way of knowing how to make a difference. Each of this team's rookies -- and I mean that -- are worth drooling over.

The good thing is we have the right centerpiece (Griffin) to set the tone for the franchise, the guy you need to build on to make sure the rest of the team doesn't fall into bad habits. We'll see. If they are at least playing hard and defending well (as a team if not individually), I am okay with it even if they are taking their lumps right now.

IDK what everyone expected with the way things have played out. We are starting three rookies. Bledsoe and Aminu have shown potential but we knew they were kind of project players. Aminu is still learning to play the three and Bledsoe had one year of college where he didn't even play PG. Jordan is our oldest starter at 22. EJ has played great, but missed a couple games with an injury.

When your bench is relying on Butler, Cook, and Collins to play big minutes you can't expect much.

we have lost some stupid games for sure. i still think at some point in the season there will be an 8 game win streak & all the haters will shower the players w/ love.

GOTTA GO NOW list!
Baron, Cook, Rasul & maybe Kaman.
We r getting younger, why keep the age.

Olshey did a good job with the draft but not with free agency. Look at his signings...players no one wanted. Gomes was waived by Portland, Foye was booted out by WAS after essentially trading Rubio for him, Cook was out of the league, and he resigned Butler and Smith, who had nowhere else to go.

Meanwhile, the Lakers pick up Steve Blake (who I really wanted to stay) and Matt Barnes for the league minimum, and resigned Shannon Brown for $2M.

I hate the Lakers but you can clearly see they are a well run organization. What we really need is a basketball head that can make deals and identify solid free agents.

At this point, wouldn't the team have been better keeping Camby? We lost Outlaw and Blake anyways.

By the way, I've changed my mind about Kaman. Ever since he went down, teams have been focusing on Griffin. He's struggled in a few games. Kaman has sucked but he still demands attention unlike DJ.

This is what happens when you field lineups of young guys. Let the guys play and get experience, then the better days will come. We are in a rebuilding mode, whether we like it or not. Five guys are getting dominant minutes right now who are all 22 or younger! Mistakes will come and go, and so will their maturity. Let them have time to get used to the NBA game first. Yes, loosing sucks, but give them time (especially Bledsoe running the show) to get used to the flow of the game, and more importantly each other, and we will see better days coming ahead of us.

Is it time to trade Baron and Kaman? Possibly. If we do, we have to get value for at least Kaman. But I hate to speculate and predict.

There's nowhere to go but up from here, and if no progress is made, we're that much closer to a #1 pick...:( but :) at the same time.

We need to continue to build around guys that are hard-workers and have a great work ethic, like EJ and Blake. Enough with the injury-prone players. Kaman and Baron have got to go ASAP.
