Free Aminu Part.2

Post#1 » by dan55 » Mon Dec 6, 2010 5:11 am

Why is Aminu starting yet playing less than 15 minutes every day? If Aminu had some of Ryan Gome's minutes we probably would have won against Portland tonight. Aminu is a better rebounder and a more useful asset on the fast break, the two things we could have used more of.

I think he would have helped with playing Roy, but who knows what he would have done on offense. He takes some really tough layups at times. He's looking to get the foul calls but since he's a rookie he probably won't get them, There is also the chance that a charge will be called on him, it just happens at times. At this stage of his career I don't really trust Aimnu at the end of games. He will have to show me that he can handle it.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Few rookies get put in for heavy minutes unless they are like the top pick. Hell, look at the rest of the rookie class. Outside of blake (1st overall) and wall (1st overall) no other rookie is really starting and putting up huge minutes. While that might change in the future (maybe cousins has a chance, or turner if iggy gets traded) its pretty normal for rookies to get eased in slowly.

Not to mention the bruised egos from losing minutes to a rookie. Would jeopardize the team chemistry, if any exists...

would be pretty cool if we could get him, as he would make a great 3rd option type guy, but i doubt we could. It would take kaman + high draft picks probably since in a scenario where philly trades iggy they will want to rebuild. Iggy makes alot of money as well, so would need to throw in some filler to make it match. Who knows though, the sixers will probably move him before the trade deadline to give turner a chance for some heavy minutes.
