With almost no All Star Centers in the West, i think it will play a part in Griffin getting in the ASG.
Yao is out so i think they will either start Duncan or Gasol at center
PG. Chris Paul
SG. Kobe Bryant
SF. Kevin Durant
PF. Tim Duncan
C. Pau Gasol
Again, with no backup C, a PF will probably get the spot again...
Reserves
PG. Deron Williams
SG.Manu Ginobli
SF. Carmelo Anthony
PF. Dirk Nowitzki
C. Kevin Love??
Then there's the last 2 spots
I think it will be
Guard: Russell Westbrook
Forward: Blake Griffin
There's other big men out there that deserves a spot like Zbo, DWest and Millsap but I really think Griffin will make that last roster spot.
Thoughts?
May a lack of All star Centers squeeze Griffin to the ASG?

I think that Blake has the talent to make the all star team, but it depends on if the coaches want to vote him in. I personally think that between Griffin and Love only one will make it. I feel that Millsap will get a spot and that one spot will be open for Griffin or Love.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I agree its between Griffin and Love to take that spot. I'm sure Westbrook is gonna be in there.
Would Duncan make the team if he falls behind Gasol or Carmelo in the voting?

I don't care what anybody says, Blake deserves strong consideration for a spot. I understand the politics involved, but don't necessarily agree with them. Wins are going to be there when you have a better record, because you have a better overall team. There are many that feel that they must earn their stripes and pay their dues. I don't agree with that in all situations. If a player is clearly outplaying another, then put the deserving player in regardless of status.

Re: May a lack of All star Centers squeeze Griffin to the ASG?
From the wiretap. Griffin was asked if he's like to do the dunk contest.
Blake Griffin is interested in participating in this February's Slam Dunk Contest.
"That would be cool," Griffin told NBA.com's Steve Aschburner. "If it's something that the league wants me to do, I'll probably try to do it."
Griffin added that he hasn't worked on any contest-worthy dunks.
"Not really. I really don't work on them a lot. If it turns out I'm going to do it, I'll try to think of something creative."
