I remember being so excited when the Clippers made the playoffs for the first time ever under the Clippers name in 1992 and almost beat the Number 1 seed Utah Jazz. Danny Manning, Loy Vaught, Ron Harper, Mark Jackson, those were the guys. Then in the mid 90's you have the high flying Brent Barry with all his acrobatic tricks. Even though they didn't make the post season, they were a fun group to watch whenever they won or tried hard in games. Remember Piatkowski? Rodney Rogers from three!Haha.
Man, a prime, athletic Brent Barry playing with Griffin would be a thing to watch.
So does anybody agree? The best Clippers years so far were the early-mid 90's.

Piatkowski was one of my favourite Clippers back in the days.
I recall he was one of the few players who had some hope in the team which was why he signed a new contract. Too bad he was over a decade too early eh?
But honestly I think this year may be the most exciting just because of Blake. The man is just crazy good. This is even better than the D-Miles/Q "era".

Pike was my favorite player too. I agree, the team hasn't been this exciting since the D-Miles/Q/Odom/Olowokandi (bleh) era. Except the guys on this team have character and dedication, while the guys on that team were just athletic high flyers.

In terms of potential, this era of the Clips right now i think will go where no other clipper teams have gone before. But I did also like the core of Odom, Brand, Miles, Q. Young gunz!

Yeah the early 90's were exciting but by far this team in the present is just as fun to watch as the Odom/Miles/Q/Maggette/Brand group i.e. 01-02

well, most of us are perhaps too young to remember the early 90s, but I sure would like to see Barry and Griffin on the same team. Heck throw in Cherokee Parks in the mix too.

In the Larry Brown era (91-93), we actually had back to back playoff appearances. I'm going to throw in "The General" Gary Grant, Kenny "the Snake" Norman and Charles Smith as other players during that era. Vaught will always be one of my all-time favorite Clippers. In the mid-90's Rodgers, Pike and Bones joined Vaught as fun players to root for. It's kind of crazy when you look back at the 95/96 and 96/97 teams and the tragedies that have befallen some of those players (i.e. Brian Williams/Bison Dele, Malik Sealy, Lorenzen Wright, Kevin Duckworth and Rodney Rodgers) since then. It's so sad.
My favorite season to this point has to be 05/06. The success only lasted a year, but that was such a great time. I remember I was still in college and people were actually talking about getting home to watch the Clippers. Livi was showing sparks, Brand was just unbelievable and Sammy needs no explanation. Cat is another favorite of mine.
