I remember at the beginning of the season, after 10-12 games I thought that BGs main flaw was his FT%, he was shooting around 55%, the same as in his college career. He has proved to have a great work ethic since during the season (When you have less time to practice due to many games per week) he has improved to a respectful 63,6% for a Big Man. In 2011 he is shooting around 68%.
Superb job, I hope during the offseason he makes the most to improve his midrange game and defense. I see him becoming a 70+% FT shooter!

I'm guessing you mean FT%. His FT's are getting better for sure, and last night his mid-range game looked excellent.

I was confused that the title said FG%, but based on your numbers FT% is what was meant. Early on Blake was shooting 50%, but now he has been doing much better. I think he has a chance to be a good free throw shooter. He has stretches when he shoots very well and then there are stretches when he shoots poorly. I'm sure with more time in the league he will become more consistent and shoot over 75%.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Re: Blake Griffin - Improvement FT%
He's said that he consistently shot around 84% in practice. It took awhile for that to translate into games. In the last 11 games he's shooting just under 73%. I think that he'll be over 75% at some point soon in his career, which would be great for someone like him that gets to the line around 9 times per game. Opposing teams won't simply be able to implement a rake-a-Blake when the game is on the line.
After he conquers the free-throw shooting, he's needs to target a mid-range game and improve on defense. He's not going to be a shot-blocker, but he needs to contest shots. He is usually in the right place, but usually lets opposing players get easy shots if he isn't in the position to take a charge.

Definitely. I feel like he will have a solid mid-range jumper and a good FT percentage like amare and boozer, within 2 years. The speed of his improvement is really mindboggling at times. He will probably make me look stupid and be shooting 80% in the final month of the season lol.

Re: Blake Griffin - Improvement FT%
75% will be more than enough and it looks like he's already there (higher of course would be better, but I mean 75% wouldn't be a hindrance to his game and encourage intentional fouls.)
And that kind of FT% also bodes very well for a mid-range game!
