Happy Thanksgiving

Post#1 » by thanumba2clippersfan » Thu Nov 24, 2011 7:48 pm

Just wanted to wish everyone on the forum a Happy Thanksgiving. I know that we have international posters that come here too, so to you guys have a wonderful day. Hope everyone can spend time with their families and have a good meal.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! :) Enjoy your families (even the in-laws) and the food. Be safe, especially if you're traveling.

The Wright Stuff

Post#3 » by Ranma » Sat Nov 26, 2011 2:48 pm

Thank you for the warm wishes and I also hope everyone and their family and friends enjoyed a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday.

I want to pass along this wonderful story of how Dorrell Wright and his longtime girlfriend, Mia Lee, saved Thanksgiving dinner for Oakland's homeless and elderly:

Dorell Wright gives big assist to those in need

Thank you for putting the human into "humanitarian", Mr. Wright and Ms. Lee.

Thanks for posting this. I heard that he was involved in saving Thanksgiving, but didn't know the details. I know that fans were upset during the lockout and calling players greedy, but this act was anything but. It was a true act of thanksgiving and making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. In a world that can be so "I" and "me"-oriented, it's great to see those that are blessed, be a blessing to others.
