Update pg 10: Clippers/Hornets agree to trade (includes EJ)

I'm feeling a little better about the trade after sleeping on it. I'm still a little sad that we gave up Gordon. I will feel better long term when Blake and CP3 sign extensions with us.

I think some of you guys are overreacting. Sure you gave up a lot, but your team is going to be crazy good. I truly think this (along with signing Billups) catapults you to one of the top teams in the West. All you really need is a little more depth in the front court and you'll be just fine.

Yeah, funny thing is when I first read the details my heart sank a little when I saw Gordon's name.

But after thinking it through, I think this was a fantastic, probably franchise-changing trade- one the Clippers absolutely HAD to pull.

They got one of the premier players in the league, and didn't even have to give up their best player...

I believe it's the love we have for our players... Clippernation knows what we're losing, and i think we'll all be uneasy until cp3 and bg get extended. once that happens, we should be good...

How's Billups going to guard Sg's? He's slower than EJ and not as good as a defender . We have a gluttony of 6 foot guards that were going to throw out at the sg position. Going to be a position of need next year. Why exactly did we keep Bledsoe? Are we keeping him as insurance incase Paul gets hurt or leaves? Or is he another *asset were dangling in a trade for a C or SG? So many small guards on this team now

Bledsoe is the player that I always thought would be the most obvious to be included in a Paul trade. The thing is that we may as well keep him. It's not like it was a choice between him and EJ or him and the pick. He can be groomed behind Paul (with the help of Pack) just like Collison was. We have him under contract for at least 3 more seasons and he still has the opportunity be an asset to us be it on the court or in a future trade.
