Billups-Paul

Post#1 » by antoniorecio » Mon Dec 26, 2011 7:11 pm

Unfortunetely i dont watch the NBA often and when i watched the clippers roster and saw that billups and paul were in the same team I was wondering why Billups signed having paul as a stater?

In my opinon it does not make any sense(for the clippers). Besides there is maureice williams who is younger and plays the poin guard too.

First of all, Chauncey didn't sign with us. He actually didn't have a choice. We won the bid for him after he was amnestied by the Knicks. Also, Chauncey was brought to the Clippers before we traded for CP3, and actually at a point in time when the CP3 trade was temporarily off. We do have a lot of small guards, but it looks like we're going to make it work for better or worse.

normally i don't think a 2 pg backcourt would work, but if there is any pair that can make it work it is cp3 and mr big shot
theres a new tank commander in town

It rolls pretty well from the two preseason and one gsw game. MO is the sixth man and cp3 gets to play off ball and takes less of a physical beating with Billups in.

Since it's a 66 games schedule w/ many games in a week (look the Purple & Old play 3 games in 4 nights)I think that its good to load up at Pg this year. I thought Mo was great off the bench and he has an amazing hunger to play, so I think this 3-PG (4 when Bledsoe gets back) will speed up our game & tire the other team.
I think Chauncey was a great gamble, we are only paying what? 2 million of his 14 million dollar salary? Thanks Knicks!
