These announcers are annoying with their old clippers remarks. And we got a big man named reggie evans whos probably a top 5 rebounder in the past decade... just sayin...

Bad loss, I'm not even going to post the score
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Interesting seeing how some fans think the sky is falling after one bad loss at a place we've lost 17 straight at. Spurs shot 60%, theres not much you can do about that. They were getting a lot of lucky rolls and we didnt play or best, but to call for our GM to get fired and to start trading away player after ONE loss? Really? Are we laker fans now?

Thank God the bleeding has finally stopped. Spurs spank the Clippers 115-90. 8 freaking baskets made in the 2nd half? 4 of them were by Blake. That's beyond pitiful. This team is a work in progress and the Spurs are a proven team full of veterans led by one of the greatest coaches ever. The schedule has not gotten to them yet, so it was perfect for the Spurs. They hit shot after shot. Some were wide open and some were just unbelievable makes that just signified that everything was going their way tonight.

We gave a pathetic effort on the boards again. We were outrebounded 24-11 in the second half. Our defense was terrible. We let their marksmen have open shots from the perimeter. We failed to put a hand in their face 9 times out of 10. They outhustled us, outran us, outsmarted us, etc. It's only 1 game and we'll get better, but it just shows that there is a lot of work to be done.

We needed a back up center since last season we knew the team would bring back DJ and Kaman would b+tch about coming off the bench so why didn't we get a center knowing we would have to trade him.

R.Sandye Foye is pointless to have he sucked last year off the bench and only was decent as a starter. Once Bledsoe comes back we wont need Foye at all get rid of him for a center any that is available .

Seriously our defense is pretty awful right now. I was "lucky" to watch the game during work, but all I could do was just shake my head at how easy the Spurs made it look to score. It's only one game, but this team has a lot of work ahead of them.

I personally didn't expect to beat Spurs in San Antonio. There will be no more than 3 teams who can beat them there, and its ok to lose to Spurs.
That being said, Few things became more clear to me:

1- Starting Billups at two will create a lot of matchup problems. He couldn't match with Ginobili's speed at all. We need a defensive locking SG immediately.

2- Even if reggie evans joins the team, we still need a big body to back up Jordan.

3-Cook is not a player of this team, Thompkins should get the minutes instead of Cook.

4-I don't like Mo keep taking shots without even looking if there is a play. On the offense he is trying to get every ball to him. Its obvious he doesn't like coming off the bench. Maybe we should look into what we can get for him.

5-If Blake doesn't start playing defense and boxing out, even with all the dunks he will be no more efficient player than David Lee.

I only watched the first half and I was already frustrated. I probably would've been more frustrated if I watched the second half.

Billups on Ginobili was just a bad matchup. Mo would just chuck up shots without running a play/passing the ball. Blake was transparent on D sometimes. I think we need some young legs. Hopefully Bledsoe will be that guy cause Im not sure what Foye/Mo offer besides an inconsistent hot hand.

Yeah its just one game but that was pure ugliness.

I only got to catch the game from the end of the 3rd quarter. It looked like we were in a zone bot everyone looked so uncomfortable and lost. The Spurs killed it with the simplest ball movement. Were they running that in the 1st half? Plus CP3 seems to be coasting a bit too much for my taste. I know he can let others carry the load more but I always like it when someone starts off aggressive set the tone, draws the defense then sets up others. Blake and Deandre also seem to have forgotten how to box out.

Sadly, that is the one thing Billups should be able to do defensively against SG's, keep up with them. If he can't do that, then that's sad. But isn't it interesting that the team basically shut down Mota Ellis and Stephen Curry's scoring, but did a lot worse staying in front of Parker and Ginobili. Though in that game, Chris mainly was on the quicker Ellis, and Billups seemingly more on Curry.

Please get Przybilla, as Fesenko is now off the market.

I know he hates coming off the bench, but I'd rather Foye not get any more minutes and those get split between Billups and Mo, and then have Foye get traded for a big.

True statement, except that he's a better scorer, but yes, Blake also needs to work. I think we all have to understand that there will be growing pains with a team that only has 1.5 starters back (DJ wasn't a full time starter last season), and had 10 days of training camp.

Thompkins & Leslie need more burn in that home opener tomorrow. We looked old and slow out there last night in S.A. Unacceptable the way we lost that game. :nonono:
