Nice breakdown. I've said it before, that one of Paul's greatest traits is his ability to score very effectively in isolation and from mid-range. Interestingly enough, Nick Young is also one of the best players in the league at doing a similar thing, and in the right role, and if he's playing defense, that ability of Young becomes very useful in the post-season.

Another interesting addition is that Paul's scoring would benefit from more corner three's. Obviously, the issue is that he does most of his work with the ball in his hands and out on the wings or top of the arc, but when Foye or Mo is on the court with him and handling the ball, VDN should use Paul more in the corner. Paul is so effective from that range that it would be a deadly area to have him.

Thanks for posting this.

One thing that is for sure is that Paul is far from average. I know that we supposedly have people that are with knowledge of advanced statistics on the staff, but it makes you wonder to what extent are they exploring the team's (as well as individual player) strengths and weaknesses. As og15 said, it would be nice to see him take a few more corner 3's (even though it might drop the percentages some due to increased volume), when one of the other guards are on the court.

I didn't read each one, but Melo's chart was pretty interesting. He knows his limits lol.
