We are rimming out a lot of shots. Spurs burrying all their threes. Hopefully it evens out next game

keys

1) contest 3 ball
2) contest 3 ball
3) rebound
4) contest 3 ball
5) figure way to free cp3 more
6) figure way to get blake more involved on offense.
7) figure way to let the offense flow.

the 7 step play to steal game 2

Spurs are first to 100 with Duncan's free throws. Let's get ready for Game 2

Yup he hasn't done anything lately

I predicted him coming up big in the playoffs. I must have jinxed him, because he's been non existent so far.

And it looks like Blake won't be able to contribute like he usually does, because of his knee. It's going to hard to win games like this.

108-92 Spurs win.

We gave up 13 in the rebound battle and allowed them to gobble up 11 offensive rebounds. If we can't get stops, then we're not going to do much. Closing out on shooters is a must. We made our runs, but it wasn't enough. We had too many droughts and mental mishaps. If you want to beat the Spurs, you have to play smart and efficient basketball for 48 minutes. We have the opportunity to get some wins, but the guys are going to have to be focused. They're not as physical as the Grizzlies, but their coach and personnel aren't going to fold down the stretch either. To quote from Survivor, you going to have to outwit, outplay and outlast them to win. Outwitting will be the most difficult.

still lackluster on rebounding. seriously though? BG needs to work harder. he doesn't seem like the same BG from last year.

From what I saw this game/highlights people comments etc. I dont mind it all, seemed like we just had an off game from most of our guys.. some good signs with Bledsoe etc and DJ doing a little bit more. CP3 had an off game, we know how much he means to our team and when he's up everyone else is up so I think when things click our way we wont do to badly against these guys.

Only Game 1, lets move onto game 2 and fix what we did extremely poorly this game. Frustrated to hear that Blake still wasn't running back on D. Think he needs someone to kinda have a go at home, let him know that he's still got a lot to work on. Hopefully a full offseason with a full team will help that as well.

For his minutes, Blake did a fine job on the glass, it was Martin who was awful on the glass, though he's been Bargnani level all season anyways. I was not happy when Diaw walked in the middle of 4 Clippers and snatched an offensive rebound. Blake plays lazy in getting back on defense, and since his knee issue, very much so, and sometimes it causes the team to lack balance on defense.

To me it seems like he's trying to rest after the offensive possession is over. I hate when he goes and tries to bother the guy that rebounded the ball, or the inbounds pass, and it looks like he's just using it to take time off. He needs to leave every player alone and as soon as the ball goes up and the other team has it, get back on defense. It was good to see him hustle back and get the block on Leonard, but I'm not interested in the blocks, just in getting back and forcing the opposition to play against a set and balanced defense.

As far as matchups, these guys are more favorable, but this is when you truly value a guy like Poppovich, guy is amazing.

Well said og about Blake's tendency to linger after they grab a defensive rebound. It's annoying. But damn the Spurs look good. Ginobli & Duncan are sharp as ever. And their outside shooting is great. Thought Bledsoe was outstanding on both ends. Parker hasn't seen D like that in a while!

We're in trouble with Foye. He's been falling apart. I think we gotta remember what he really is. An under-sized back-up two guard. On a lot of teams he would be third string.

Still, with more consistent defense and better performances from Paul, Griffin & Mo. We should be able to get at least one W if not more...

Correction, Foye is a combo guard, lol, at some point in time he was considered a capable PG, or at least backup PG, and I guess technically he still is.

Sadly for Foye, his post-season performance isn't going to bode too well for him in contract negotiations. For the Clippers, if things go that way, it does work out to helping to retain him for cheap as a combo guard off the bench if necessary

I still like Foye especially as an option off the bench, I want to keep Young/Bledsoe as well though so I wouldn't mind if next season I guys off the bench in the 1,2,3 postions were Bled - Foye - Young. I guess that all depends on if we can find a better backup SF behind Butler
