It was unlikely that we were going to bring Reggie back in the first place. The fact that we managed to get a 2nd rounder in return is a (small) bonus. Reggie was able to get slightly more than the minimum by the S&T. Clips also get a small TPE.
It is a mistake to let Evans go. He meant a lot to this team off the bench. He always hustled, played solid D, was very tough, and rebounded. He is more useful to the team than Jordan.
They should have matched Brooklyn's offer.
Letting go is hard, but one has to learn to do so. The team didn't want to play a 6'8 guy at C anymore, and with the addition of Odom, there were no PF minutes available for Reggie. You know the team would have discussed his role with him and how much was available to offer him etc, and of course Reggie is a guy that wants about 20 mins and doesn't like DNP's, so it was best for both parties.
I like Reggie for what he is, but if he was starting and playing 28 MPG at C, you would like him a lot less.
