We had a sloppy finish but I'll take the win. Bledsoe finishes the game with an ally oop. Clippers beat the Heat in China 99-89.

Clips win 99-89 to score their first victory of the preseason. The most important thing is that we made it through this trip without an injury. We'll play the Jazz on Wednesday night at home. That gives them a few days to try to readjust to the time difference.

DJ didn't do all that great at the line, but I can forgive that when he goes 8 for 8 from the field and scoops up 9 rebounds in 24 minutes. He's getting a lot of reps while the games don't count to better prepare him for when they do count.

It was great to see CP3 back out on the floor. I had a feeling that he was going to play this game when he was cleared to practice and only ruled out of the Beijing game.

Butler is getting kind of overlooked, but he seems to have had one of the more overlooked offseasons. He's in great in shape and it is showing.

Odom looked a little better. I hope that he'll get more minutes as the preseason progresses. His mind is there for the most part, but his body is playing catch up.

I want to see Leslie get some minutes. Hopefully gets something before the season starts. Give him some of Green's time

Another 20+ turnover outing. I want to see that number come down. Guys will likely settle down some. We've been forcing it at times.

FT's from DJ haven't been nice so far, but his post game looks tons better.

Odom still needs to get to a higher level.

Paul in the post conference:

Physically he feels better than he thought he would going into the game. He said that he's not where he would like to be mentally (being totally in-tune with his teammates) on the court.

He wants to push the tempo this season. After watching film over the summer, he felt that he was the reason that that the team was one of the slowest teams in the league and needed to make adjustments (getting in better conditioning).

He and Blake discussed how they may not have to score as much because of the team's depth. He praises DJ's post game. A question came about Blake missing shots in the mid-range and Paul said he would tell Blake to keep on shooting. Knowing the work that Blake puts in, CP3 feels that he's going to be Blake's biggest advocate to continue shooting the ball. Blake is one of the best players in the league and that's because he puts the work in to be successful.

Good result today. I only saw highlights but my bro tells me DJ was going to work in the post early, hook shots, jumpers. Great to hear, hope he does it in the real season.

Odom is still a bit of a worry, we should just play him the entire preseason games and make him run his ass off lol. I'm liking how Butler looks, looks a lot more agile which is kinda weird as he's older but hopefully he brings more this season.

watched this game with my wife while kids were gone to grandma's.
looks as DJ is becoming worth his contract before our eyes, we need a 3rd star to keep CP3 happy here, and to win it all in the future as griffin doesn't appear to be improving by leaps and bounds. at this pace tho, i am starting to believe we will have our own big 3 within the duration of DJ's current contract.
