It has become tradition. The Dwightmare in 2011-12. The 'Melo-drama the season before. The season before that, several months were handed over to a single guy: The Summer of LeBron.
Chris Paul insists he does not need a fancy title for his upcoming free agency. No catchy name, and certainly not his own climate. This will not be another nine-month long searing migraine of fans in agony, the media tripping over itself and the Clippers being on the clock to find a trade, or else. Not if Paul has anything to say about it.
"At the end of the season, I'll evaluate everything. But it's no secret. Everybody knows I love it here," Paul said. "I love our team, I love everything that's going on.""I sort of went through one of those the year before last in New Orleans," Paul said of 2010-11, his final season with the Hornets. Reports about his desire to leave became constant and distractions mounted until management was finally driven into submission. "Been there, done that. For me, I don't pay much attention to it. I wouldn't even have thought about that today until you asked me the question. I think that says a lot about our team, about everything that's going on around here. We don't focus on that."

I think paul re-ups and we reload next summer after Hill & Billups retire.

Of course the lackey Broussard can't wait to start talking and speculating though.

CP3 could sign a 5 year deal, we could win the next 5 championships, and the following offseason there would be stories asking where Chris and Blake will sign, since the Clippers can't hold onto their own talent.

i don't know if "reloading" is all that possible.

with increase in pay of griffin and add CP3's new salary onto above figure, we would have room for about 5 mil to fill the rest of the roster, maybe 7mil if hill retire as he says he will. that won't bring in a difference maker. but by the way things look DJ's improvement would be a very nice addition all by itself.
ehhhhh f it.
