I've been a little uneasy and glad this one is almost over. I just want the win.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Finally we win 106-96. Great first quarter, everything else was just OK

106-96 is the final. I didn't like how we played after the 1st, but all that matters is the W.

Got home late and just finished watching the 4th qtr but will watch the replay to catch the "history in the making" 1st. Got scared there for a minute when the Rockets cut it to 10.
Good to see Billups have such a huge game been awhile since that has happened. We need to take this w streak into the allstar break.

I was listening to Sieman after the game and he was talking about Billups and his post-playing career. Everybody feels like Chauncey should be a coach, but wants a role in a front office to help build a team. The Clippers have told him that he was free to sit in on their meetings whenever he wanted to in order to get a feel of what would be in store for him. He declined by saying that he wants his teammates to look at him as only a teammate for the time being and not a part of management.
I really don't know what the future holds for him, but I think it's great that the organization is reaching out to him early. He has deep ties to Detroit and Denver will always be home, so I think those 2 could very well be higher up on his list of preferences. Even though he's not exactly proven (outside of some of the recruiting he's done), he's well respected throughout the league. As the franchise aims to continue to build character, having the presence of someone like Chauncey on staff would go a long way.

BILLUPS SHINES IN FIRST HOME START SINCE DECEMBER“He knows how to play,” Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said. “He knows angles and does a great job of communicating things on both ends of the court and I think it takes pressure off everybody to have him out there.”
The game also marked the first time this season that the Staples Center crowd got to see the full version of the Clippers squad that was hyped for much of the offseason after the team’s myriad of acquisitions.
“Everybody knows that we’ve got a very dangerous team and a very deep team,” Billups said. “I just feel like if our starters could get us off with a good first quarter, I think our bench will be able to outlast every other bench in the league.“I’ve been a point guard my whole career,” Billups said. “I had a lot of advantages at that spot. I’m bigger and stronger than most guys. I’ve got the ball in my hands and I can create and outthink teams.
“Now I’m playing shooting guard and I’m smaller than most guys and I don’t really have the ball in my hands so it’s a difficult transition but for me I feel like I’m going to play like I’ve always played while I’m out there. As long as I’m on the court I’m going to find a way to be effective and that’s always been my mindset. It is difficult though.”“He’s very important,” Paul said. “Chauncey gives me a chance to get off the ball. I can go to the elbow and iso and let him come off the ball screen. He can orchestrate it every now and then in order to get the ball back to me. It’s pretty nice to have him out there.”
