kenyon martin wishes harms for clippers

kenyon is a lowlife. glad we avoided him. the fact that he wasn't signed until NYKs lost their entire starting front court and yet he starts for them speaks volume about his attitude issues that is long documented. yes he is a talented player, but no he isn't going to win anyone's hearts in locker room.

here is a man who sees no fault of his own, such as refusing to play when coach calls your number, and have the balls to say
“I don’t care what they do, to be honest with you. I hope they lose every game.”

it's not like kenyon's been to lots of playoff games himself outside of jason kidd's NJ days, talking like he is a proven winner,

After a few more game-related questions, the topic of the Clippers’ fast breaking and dunking style arose, and Martin said, “They can’t do it in the playoffs, so it doesn’t matter. Regular season, it’s all up-and-down. We know how the game goes in the regular season.”

screw this guy.
ehhhhh f it.

Hope he enjoys losing in Round 1. That is just sad, no team wanted him and Clippers didn't even want him back. Probably won't even be in the association next year.

Well actually, the only time he has missed the playoffs in his 13 years in the league was his rookie season. He has 100 playoff games under his belt. Only 20 active players have played in more.

I like how he comes to NYK finally, well past half way through the season and his words were something like 'he knows he's gone about things the wrong way in the past and that's going to change'

then he comes out and bad mouths his former team Clippers in, what, his 3rd game? no team want's that kmart.

I still like him. Dude's a pitbull, he's now on the other side of the fence so he's barking at us, that's all. I'll gladly have him back tbh.

would love to have that anger going against the grizz, nuggets, warriors, spurs etc. etc.

Problem is that he isn't angry at those teams, he's angry at the Clippers, so it doesn't benefit New York, and wouldn't benefit the Clippers because if he was signed, he wouldn't be angry.

Anger can be good if it is controlled and channeled into greater intensity. Uncontrolled anger can just end up being likely a guy playing a little too recklessly or out of control and doing things like picking up personal fouls and maybe even technical fouls. I'm not sure Martin is the best example of controlled anger out there though.

It's interesting though, that similar to Odom, Martin was a worse FT shooter than DJ, shoting 37% FT last season, but was played more than DJ down the stretch. This season, he's shooting 29% FT. I guess 2 seasons (1 season + 8 games so far) of very very bad FT shooting could possibly make people loose the reputation that he's a career 63% FT shooter and not a guy to hack.

btw, I'd rather have Chris Andersen, and he was the guy I wanted. He'll give you all the intensity, but better everything except man to man defense, but if it is at C, they are both undersized anyways...and Andersen is shooting 73.7% FT this season. A shot blocker that can actually stay in the game during the last few minutes, wouldn't that be useful

Yea, a great guy to play for about 1.5 quarters a game, but of course everyone seemingly got scared by a fake scandal, and Miami ended up being the one to get him. He would be so useful on this team as he sort of combines Turiaf and Hollins skills into one player + extra in that he can block shots, bring energy on both ends, and like Hollins finish at the rim and score efficiently. In addition, he rebounds better than both of them on both sides.

the birdman would fit right in not just in terms of basketball but barnes and birdman can start their own cable tattoo tv show. he seems to be a poorman's rodman without all the drama day in and day out. (of course excluding the fake scandal)

if we can trade bled and dump caron this off season for a legit starting 3 or 2, and grab birdman while sign or draft CP3's next back up, i think our both units can improve.
