Players can't speak up and as a fan of the game, it's hard to watch this rigged nba game.

lol, why is this even a news to some of you guys, any middle aged serious basketball fans who are not fakers fans know this and have known this for the last few decades. fix has been in since the 90s and david stern and the nba refs are not even very subtle about it. 2001-02 kings know it, why don't you?

nba is just a microcosm of what America is, the top elite fixes things the way they see fit, and the gullible and ignorant mass just eats up the bullcrap propaganda they spit at em. once in a while some naive youth sees through the lies and gets all zealot about it, but guess what, it won't change a thing.
ehhhhh f it.

This guy spammed this onto every board. He knew he was going to get bounced.

I don't like that there is unfair officiating. It's the most frustrating thing about every sport. It takes away from the game when a bad call is made/not made. The NBA has had "questionable" officiating for the longest in which certain franchises or players get the benefit. I don't like it. If you are a better player/team, it's not right that you get more calls than the struggling team. Refs are human and there is a margin of error, but some things are just very blatant at times. The NBA (Stern/Silver) need to ask themselves do you want the NBA to be a Sports league or Sports Entertainment?

Donaghy claimed that the mob threatened his family. Stern said he knows where the bodies are buried (that sounds pretty "mobbish" lol). Crooked officiating is an organized crime against the spirit of competition.

As a fan, I know that there are some 50/50 plays that can go either way, but some things are also just obvious. I don't want my team to win because of a blown call(s), because I want it to be on the up and up. We've gotten away with things at times, but we've had more than our fair share of getting the short end of the stick.

I love basketball and the NBA is the best collection of talent in the world. No matter how frustrated I get (and feel like walking away from the nonsense), my love for basketball is going to keep bringing me back.

I think bias needs to be separated from "fix" or and conspiracy stuff. Refs are partial to certain players, sometimes teams, but I don't think there's good enough consistent evidence for ay fixing. When it comes to that, we can always make the outcomes fit whatever conclusion we want and when it doesn't, it can always be rationalized somehow.

is that why the only team that brought a special guest won both john wall and kyrie erving sweepstakes back to back? i guess NBA just had a 30 X 30 odds =1 out of 900 chance become reality that they just happened to bring in the widow of ex bullets owner when they got the #1 pick and cavs bring on a cystic fibrosis suffering kid and no other team had a guest? isn't that a little weird that teams that stern owns favors to not only came out on top but allowed to bring in special guests that appealed to the general public's sympathetic eyes?

once in a while when i go watch a local high school game or watch low profile A/AA college games, the refs seem to make the right calls vast majority of the time, and yet when supposedly far more seasoned NCAA torny games to NBA games seem to have more noticeable miscalls than its lower ranked counterparts. i won't even get into all the traveling no calls on jordan in the 90s or phantom calls the superstars have enjoyed since somewhere in the late 80s to early 90s.

not saying that they fix every game, but they do fix, or rather, tilt the balancing arm greatly to one side when they feel it's best for business.

i have watched this game for the last 3 decades or more and david stern has always struck me as the type to manipulate. i guess the joke is on me for still spending money on clipper related products and watching this game, but if it wasn't for my 3 decades running obsession with the underdogs in red white and blue from the sports arena days, i wouldn't care for NBA at all.
ehhhhh f it.

that's about as real as it gets.

when i compare the NBA to the NFL or MLB...it's sort of a joke. It's a good thing I love the Clippers and I have to know what's going on in the NBA because it relates to use since we play everybody at least twice. But for me to just be naturally interested in the NBA without being a particular fan of a team, there is going to have to be drastic changes to the league.

also....good point on officiating.
going to a Big West school...I've watched more than enough of my share of irrelevant college basketball. Don't remember thinking about poor officiating at all...or whether the refs were fixing a game for Long Beach State or Northridge
