It would have been cool to offer a make good contract to someone like Kabongo imo. Oh well.

Re: Official Draft Discussion: 6/27/13 (Merged)
With Washington drafting Porter, they can't possibly be thinking of both keeping Ariza, AND re-signing Webster, so that might give the Clippers another option in the FA market with Webster.

I'm thinking about free agent small forwards right now for the Clippers and what their prices might be. Webster actually reminds me a lot of Bullock. I wouldn't mind signing him, but I'm not sure i give him the full MLE with his injury history. But, the guy could shoot the ball and is a willing defender. I would like to bring back Matt Barnes, but for 3years/12miion at the most. I think Barnes brings intangibles to our team.

I'd still love Ariza, over Barnes even. Barnes is good, I like him, but not for spending so much money on. Although no idea what Ariza's contract is. Probably worse lol.

Re: Official Draft Discussion: 6/27/13 (Merged)
dunno if Webster, mentally, is a guy I trust being on this team. The sale would be his talent and Doc/CP3 being able to reel him in.
With DJ being in our future, I am very hesitant to add a player like Ariza/Iggy at SF who isn't money from 3.
more than any other team, we need strong shooting from the 2 and 3.

Ariza makes an okay amount for his talent, he's an expiring $7M or so, he would need to be traded for Caron.
Quake, Ariza is an very good corner 3PT shooter actually, above the break not so much, but he's pretty good as a spot up shooter from the corner

I would love to do the Ariza for Butler swap in the Wizards are still interested. Ariza is just so much better defensively and he isn't bad at shooting the corner 3 either even though his 3 pt % isn't that great.

Re: Official Draft Discussion: 6/27/13 (Merged)
He was much better this last season at 36.4% 3PT and a .538 TS%. Took 5.1 3PA/36 and shot 41.5% 3PT over the last 22 games. Doesn't make sense for Washington without incentive though, Cippers really should have done it when they had the chance.
