they're going to develop defensively.

so glad to have a coach who will hold them accountable...and players who want to please Doc.
feels good man.

we are going to have to get creative in finding a back up big.
lamar and antawn jamison aren't the answer. Signing them back just because we don't have one would be a dumb idea imo.

i don't understand that part either. jamison couldn't guard zbo or mark gasol, so against grizzlies we would have to rely on hollins and turiaf again. but i guess the FO is determined to get a stretch 4 to open up the middle for blake on offensive end and that need is apparently bigger than on the other end.

With Hollins and Turiaf and our new draft pick (and Barnes), would we ever need Jamison to guard those kind of guys?

That's where I think replacing Odom with Jamison makes sense, even though I like LO. Jamison gives us more flexibility with matchups off the bench than re-signing Odom. Our bench was great last year, but a lot of it was Crawford shooting absolutely lights out early in the year, then coming back down to earth.

injuries, foul trouble, DJ's FT issues, there are plenty of reasons why we need more than just 3 bigs who can guard other teams' legitimate bigs. the more time i have to ponder, the more i despise having jamison join our team. i just don't see how he can help us defensively, and i don't think we have enough balls to go around in a game to have his offense make an impact.

BTW, looks like Turry is headed to Minny.
ehhhhh f it.

I liked what I saw, seems like a good dude who could learn from CP3

yes he is, but his contract is not guaranteed and thus you just never know. if they find a similar value player to sign in summer league who happens to be an undrafted rookie, i would fully expect us to cut ties with wayns and bring in that rookie, since the contract is about a half the value.
