wow i just quickly went through the thread and sorry if i missed it but i don't believe anyone has yet to bring up the reality of this situation.

both clippers and lakers are RENTING the staples center, it is owned by the LA KINGS people. that is the reason why the seats are purple and black, not piss yellow. also is the reason why the kings' banners drape from the center-ceiling but lakers' are hung on the corner wall. if you still have a problem with our franchise covering your banners, then take it up to the LANDLORD, not with a lessee. ask donald sterling, he can tell you a thing or two about rental laws. i know jerry buss learned it from donald, why can't his fans?

to call it YOUR ARENA because of the LA sports figures from the past are on the figueroa street, i had no idea until now that wayne gretzky and oscar de la hoya also played for the lakers.

get over it, your team had its heyday and now the buss jr has ruined it for you. get used to it. there are some of us in here who waited three, four decades for the clippers/braves to finally content. patience is a virtue. i recommend learning about it, because you lakerfans can use it from now on, for the foreseeable future.

So I can't post on a Clipper board because I follow the Blazers? Seriously?

Oh, did it ever occur to you that I'm amused by some of the Laker fans response to this? ;)

Its obvious you dislike the Lakers so much you go into a forum looking for something bad to say. Its amusing to me so im pointing it out as well.

I love it when someone tries to paint an illusion to a situation to take the focus off of them or their fan base and try to put me on the defensive. But the fact remains when people from the Laker fan base say things like...

...it's going to get attention. Maybe you should focus on your own fan base and set them strait instead of attacking those who find it funny because it is funny and at the same time sad because fans obviously fan some sort of sense of entitlement. Meaning they like the idea that the Clipper fans and their players are looking at the Laker success during Clipper home games. It's like having a psychological edge. But, now that they're trying to make their home games feel like home games, they freak out because they're losing an advantage they thought they had.

Meanwhile those banners and numbers that are covered up during Clipper games will be uncovered and shown during Laker games so you can still see them if you go to a Laker home game, but again for some reason some Laker fans feel that's not good enough and that they should have to see all those banners and numbers at all times which means they feel a sense of entitlement. Because if that weren't the case, the quotes I've quoted over-and-over again in this thread alone wouldn't have existed. It's one thing to think those things, but to actually say where people can read is another and now it's out there and people know a lot of about those users' personality because of it.

Back to what I said about setting your own fan base strait. One thing is for sure, if that sort of thing happened among my fellow Blazer fans, I'd be arguing with them instead of sticking up for those who are making embarrassing comments that should be embarrassing to the others who have common sense because it helps paint Laker fans in a bad light. While others will stereotype that it's a whole fan base and run with it, I'll keep it real and just acknowledge the ones who are doing the act which I have done so far. The thing is every fan base has guys like that. They just do and that includes the Blazers fan base and I can tell you one thing. I don't get along well with those who have that type of personality.

So, you can either keep defending those comments made or you can look at them for what they are and go after your fellow fans who are embarrassing your fan base. Because the way I look at it, if you're defending those comments, they means you feel that same way so that would logically mean you are bothered by the posters the Clippers are using to cover up the Laker banners and numbers. It's actually sad how big of deal many of you Laker fans have made it, but yet at the same time it's been very amusing. ;)

Actually Neddy AEG owns the building.
They own minority stakes in the Lakers and Kings.
Therefore if we were to be technical about it the Lakers and Kings do own the building.
But who are we kidding we all know it's the Clippers house as well. But since you wanted to go that direction the truth is that the Clippers and Sparks are paying rent.

I wouldn't bring up the statues situation.
I mean we got 4 Laker legends immortalized in bronze out there.
Our beloved announcer, the late great Chick Hearn even got his statue.
If I had to pick a Clipper statue I'd go with CP3 obviously and Ralph Lawler.
Who I feel is a broadcasting legend as well.
Just get Michael Smith the hell out of dodge please lol.
All his whiny rants and he is a proud ex Celtic. :x
An I would probably like to add Bob Mcadoo where he'll be wearing his Laker and Brave jersey.

Feel free to continue with the talks that we had our hay day and it's over. Your entitled to your opinion.
Hopefully for our case history will repeat itself and will be back in the fight soon.

Just now reading through all of this...

Fans of other teams going at it. Let's discuss things without the name calling or personal attacks to other posters. It's just not necessary. You can get your points across without it. If you're calling someone a name in retaliation to something that was said to you, know that there is a report button. Just report it and move on instead of going back and forth. It's feels good for a moment, but not worth it in the long run.

I personally don't care what fans of other teams say elsewhere as much as long it's not derogatory here.
