Disgusting loss Doc never reigned the team in from terrible shots.

Well another loss on the road with a poor effort. We couldn't shoot and kept taking tough shots. The Cavs beat us 88-82.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

we pull for the most annoying team in the world.

this game has 0 to do with the Cavs and everything to do with our uninspired effort on the court.

16 offensive rebounds for the cavs.

I'm still waiting for the impact of Doc on this team. He should of went with Hollins when we needed a rebound.

Well at least I can be happy for Penn State beating up on Marshall earlier. And there's still tons of college football to watch.

he posted an Instragram video saying he's had an additional eye surgery and then another additional one (about 2 days ago) thats going to keep him out another 2 weeks.

LOL at bias.
Andy cheap shots Griffin...then flops when Griffin pushes him. then Griffin goes to tell him about it after the play.
rofl.

how can anyone watching that see anything different?

I'm curious as to what they said about the play

he was upset because he's been outplayed all night.

it's like...maybe.
start the discussion with Vareao's cheap shot

I don't understand why Varejao gets away with the stuff he does. He isn't a superstar, he isn't some kind of hero. He set about 5 illegal screens in this game and commits a foul almost every time he plays defense. It is absurd. He reminds me a of a big man Derek Fisher- a mediocre player who gets superstar treatment from the refs.

In terms of the Clips- what a shameful game. They don't look any better than last year up to this point. In fact, they look worse. It is still relatively early in the season, but if they don't start improving soon, I'm going to be very disappointed with Doc and the Clips. I'm starting to worry that this could get worse and that the Lakers will finish with a better record than them and the CLips will be left fighting for the 7th or 8th playoff seed because of the very deep west.

Clippers suffering from Mullen-itis.

7-35 in 3-pointers pretty much says it all. This team and, Griffin in particular, is too perimeter oriented. I'm all for taking open outside shots but not to the point of basically neglecting the drive and post game. We need more balance and, really, it's unforgivable given the talent in personnel both on the floor (players) and on the bench (coaches).

DeAndre has been doing his job, but more is expected from the other Clips' big 3 of Paul and Griffin. I understand that the team is a work-in-progress and that injuries are hampering the ballclub, but our depth and talent should have us more competitive in games against the likes of the Hawks and Cavaliers. Effort and approach have been inconsistent.

I appreciate what Doc has done, especially with DJ, but he really is running out of excuses for the team's shortcomings given that he has player personnel control. However, the primary target of my ire for tonight's debacle is Blake Griffin with his inefficiency from the field, petulance on the floor, and tendency to stay on the perimeter.

Huffing and puffing.

Post#72 » by Ranma » Sun Dec 8, 2013 7:13 am

Arash Markazi, ESPNLosAngeles.com (12/8/13)
"We did a lot of pouting in the game," Rivers said Saturday. "You can't play that way. You have to keep playing. I always call them emotional hijacks and we had a lot of that going on. That happens, but you have to be able to pull yourself out of it individually or as a group and I don't think we did a good job of that."

Rivers has been critical of his team's body language since the opening of training camp and has been talking to them about focusing on the game and not the score. But on nights like Saturday, that advice falls on deaf ears.
...

"I wouldn't say pouting," Griffin said when Rivers' comments were relayed. "I think guys are frustrated and they want to play better and they want to play well. I guess we have to do a better job of playing through that and trying to keep better body language and a better demeanor but that's tough."

Rivers knocks Clippers' 'pouting'

I'm sick of the 'even though shots weren't falling at least we had good looks' mindset. I am very worried about this team come playoffs.

What do you guys think?

Are the players not trying hard enough?
Are the coaching staff/ players overrated?
Are injuries to blame?
Or
Do we just need more time?

Wow, this is not a Championship QUALITY team or coaching staff, the bickering & finger-pointing is probably on its way. We better wake up if we are going to win 60 games in the BRUTALLY tough Western Conference.

I am concerned as well. They better improve soon or there is a possibility they won't even make the playoffs in the great western conference.
