PAUL AND GRIFFIN ONCE AGAIN IN TOP 10 OF JERSEY SALES

Post#1 » by mkwest » Thu Dec 19, 2013 7:18 pm

Much like starting in the All-Star Game the past two seasons, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin appearing on the NBA’s most popular jersey list is becoming commonplace.

The league released its latest list of jersey sales Thursday morning with Paul coming in at No. 8 and Griffin at No. 10. The list is compiled based on overall sales from adidas and NBAStore.com

Griffin was ranked ninth when the NBA released its worldwide jersey sales in October and Paul was 12th. Since joining forces prior to the 2011-12 season, both Griffin and Paul have started in consecutive All-Star games and have landed in the top 15 of the NBA’s jersey sales lists (worldwide and domestic) in each release.

It’s another sign of the Clippers’ explosion in popularity since Griffin’s Rookie of the Year campaign. They are riding a 106-game sellout streak through Dec. 18, have played the nearly the league maximum number of games on national television in the past two seasons and own one of the league’s best records since Paul was acquired on Dec. 14, 2011.

This is huge step for the organization I love to see progress like this here. Surprised and more so happy for Blake did he really have a career highlight dunk last year? For sure he has not had a jaw dropping dunk this year so to see he still has the draw is amazing.

I like seeing this too. Because it wasn't too long ago when I would wear Clipper jerseys or Clipper gear and people would question me about it. It just feels good that the Clipper brand is going in a positive direction. I've even noticed more people wear Clipper gear now. I would never see that before.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

This is always great to see. Thankfully I have all the Griffin jerseys except for the Sunday Back In Blues.
