that's how i remember the badboys detroit pistons used to play. they would struggle offensively when their shots won't fall but always was in games because Laimbeer/Salley/Rodman/Edwards would pound you inside and tenacious on the boards, and the trio of guards Thomas/Dumars/Vinny would be in your face driving in and taking Js all night. the Celtics were the same with Parish/McHale/Bird all averaging or near 10 boards per, made their games much easier than others.

It also travels with you on the road. The role players may get hot at home, but tend to struggle on the road. If your defense/rebounding helps you tread water, you always have a chance.

indeed. both of our small forwards seem to disappear more often than showing up especially on the road. Jamal's game is always streaky and without a dominant rebounding game, we can use CP3's leadership on the floor even if slows our offensive flow a bit and we can only have him on the floor for 20 minutes per game.

Is that DJ at the foul line or did Mark Price get a tan?

The fact DJ made 4 straight free throws in clutch time makes him automatically player of the game for me.

After tonight, we are still the 4 seed but we're only 1 game back of being either the 2 or 3 seed.
4.5 back of OKC for the 1 seed.

Glad that we won tonight, I didn't see any of the game because of work. I'm watching the replay right now and I'm really excited because my Penn State Nittany Lions beat Ohio State in Columbus. It's a great feeling to have both my hoops teams win.

I knew there was a chance that we could lose this one since the Wizards are improved and because we came back from a long road trip.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Same missed most of the game due to work and strip club but glad we got the w. Doc needs to get the defense refocused before the break it will help to start kicking up the intensity.

I could only watch the last 5 minutes, the game was a bit too close for what I had hoped but glad we could get the W. Glad for DJ too, hopefully we scared a lot of teams out of the hack-a-DJ strategy tonight.

We're gonna need the cushion cause we have Golden State tonight, Miami and a trip to Denver next week, and Portland and San Antonio the week after. Hopefully we at least keep the 4th seed for when Paul comes back.

I've been impressed lately how we have stepped up when games are close with about 4 minutes left on the clock. In the past, they would stay close and we would rely on CP3 to be clutch. Now we seem mentally tough and grind out points all the way to the end so that the score doesn't really reflect how close the game was.
