Chris Paul (shoulder) had a workout on Monday afternoon.
It was a non-contact workout before Monday's game against the Bucks. Paul thinks he'll be back before the All-Star break and there has been nothing to suggest that won't happen. Darren Collison owners might want to start getting another plan together in the near future. Paul does not have a target date just yet, but his fantasy owners should just sit tight for now.

There was a specialist that joined the Clippers Live team to discuss Paul's shoulder and attempt to explain the process. He's not the surgeon, but just sharing his opinions. Neddy made mention of the different grading systems where some use 3 and some 5. The specialist said that it's possible for there to be up to 6 grades of which 4-6 usually require surgery and 1-2 is likely non-surgical. Grade 3 is a gray zone where it can go either way.

He says that it's likely never going to be back to the full level of strength that it was prior to the injury. It takes typically 12 weeks to regain 80% of strength for the torn ligaments. With that, it's more prone to future injury than if he hadn't injured it, but it would still take a decent amount of force. Once his shoulder is strengthened and regains the necessary range of motion, he'll be able to return. 6 weeks puts Paul at mid-February. From what I've read, he's looking to return in the first week of February.

He does. It's in New Orleans. If he's able to play no way he sits it out.

Really hope the other guy is wrong and when Paul returns there won't be any long term impact. We are really going to need him right after the all star break he should not play in it at all.

Chris Paul (shoulder) is aiming to return to game action on either Feb. 7 or Feb. 9, according to Dan Woike of the Orange County Register.
This is not an overly optimistic target for Paul, who is already doing some basketball activities. There hasn't been any report of contact in practice, but there's a good chance that will be happening in the near future. Paul made the All-Star team today and still leads the NBA in assists per game, so he's arguably the most valuable guard in fantasy. Darren Collison will lose a lot of his minutes upon CP3's return.

Philly should be a strong warm up game leading into a big time Blazers game. Get as much rust off as possible.

I wouldn't complain if Doc took advantage of our current success with a DC-lead team to give Paul about 20 minutes a game for a week to ease back into it.
