With Doc Rivers coaching, we've seen an excellent improvement on Griffin and DJ. Rivers give full minutes to Jordan, showing that he believes in him and DJ answers to this confidence. But, on the other hand, Hollins is only taking trash minutes. I don't expect to see Hollins as a potential all-star as Jordan is after the Rivers coaching, but maybe with a huge coach work, he can be a decent frontcourt backup. In fact, he is a 7 ft with very low self esteem.
Seems to me that he can be a better player than he has shown us til now. But maybe I'm just wrong...

Re: Can Hollins step up?
in a word, No.
in a sentence, If Hollins was going to grow and improve as a player under Doc, he would have done it already while in Celt's uni with guys like KG around to show him the ropes.

Re: Can Hollins step up?
Not so much this year, but last season Hollins had a couple of 2 minute stretches where he played great defence with 100% energy. Doc didn't want him in Boston and he doesn't seem too keen to give him minutes here either so I think Doc has already made up his mind about Hollins' talent. I've always thought Hollins could be effective off the bench but it is time to cut our losses with our 'experiments' and player developments, and acquire an already skilled big man.

Re: Can Hollins step up?
We can get rid of Hollins after the season and sign a capable backup big, or we can include him in a trade at the deadline.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Re: Can Hollins step up?
We can't really put hopes on Hollins. Generally he is a practice big man, not a main rotation player on a good team.

Re: Can Hollins step up?
He had a strong two game run with us until the flagorant foul and it was mostly a wrap after that. As mentioned Doc does not seem to be a Hollins guy at all so something has to change. Jamison seems to be wasting away because Doc has been resting him and with Turk hurt I was sure he would play some last night.
