NBA considering 4-pt line?

Post#1 » by okpistolpete » Tue Feb 25, 2014 8:44 pm

I can't think of any team that would benefit more than us. Crawford and Redick would be all over that.

Hmm....

Actually, they might like that shot a little too much.

I'm all for a 4 point shot but only if it's super far. Like other 3 point line far.
If the Clippers win the championship next year I'm getting banned from RealGM

It took 50 years to add a 3pt line, and now 30 years after that we're discussing a 4pt line. I say we skip ahead to what's inevitably going to be the old Rock N' Jock setup. Did someone say 25pt shot?

It would be even tougher to guard that cat, Stephen Curry. I think Vince Carter might excel at this too.

This is exactly what I thought of when I heard about this

The nba has a lack of shooters already, what the hell would they do with a 4 point line?

I think they should widen the court and make the 3 point line about 2 feet further back, but there should never be a 4 point line. That is a gimmick. I am already upset by how many 3s are attempted in the NBA. I think it is utilized too much to the detriment of inside post up play (many big men now want to be strech 4s and 5s too much)
