This has been a nice quarter for Reggie. Hopefully he can get some playing time since we have some injuries. Since we have Granger maybe we can play Reggie at the 2.

We did exactly what I wanted. We didn't give up the lead and the Pelicans had no chance in this one. We get an easy one, final score is 108-76 Clippers.

Pelicans are struggling.

Davis had a tough game with the fouls. Davis is also still trying to move from statistical defense to impact defense. Hornets are ranked 30th in the league in defensive rating. They are actually 0.3 pts/100 possessions better (111.9 to 111.6) on defense when Davis is on the bench, an insignificant amount really, but not supporting him having any high defensive impact.

The 1.5 steals and 3 blocks is nice, but high impact defenders don't anchor the worst defensive team in the league and don't have no difference in team defense when they are on the court compared to off. Then tools he has though, wow. It will be really nice to see how he continues to progress going forward.

At this point last season, the Clippers were 43-18. We finished with a 13-8 record over our last 21 games despite winning our final 7. We'll have to go 15-6 (.714) to match last year's record.

Notes & Nitpicks

Great game so there's really nothing much to complain about but I'll just note the following:

- Clips went 9-for-25 from beyond the arc, which I believe has them at 26-0 this season when they make at least 9 3-pointers in a game

- Glen "Big Baby" Davis was a positive presence out there for us on the floor based on the eye test...his stat sheet, on the other hand, lists him as the only Clipper player with a negative +/- rating with a -10

- Mike Smith mentioned during the telecast that Dudley was the best shooter from 15-foot range shooting 69% from that area...too bad he doesn't have the quickness to open himself up to get to those spots for such a shot

- Griffin had only 5 boards operating mostly from the perimeter tonight and deferring to Barnes to do the grunt work in the post with 6 boards of his own along with 4-8 3PT-FG shooting

- Bullock scored 11 points off 4-8 FGs (including 2-4 from 3-point range) and grabbed 3 rebounds to finish with a +9 rating in only 10 minutes of play
