I love CP and Collison for when we're trying to contain penetration off the dribble.

I like any other 2G/ wing on the squad in terms of having a guy shoot over them.
this is why I was a huge proponent of trading for Afflalo in the offseason....he can shoot (although he isn't the shooter JJ is) and he can guard a Klay and he can contain penetration.

given that Dudley is the biggest bust in a Clipper Uni since the Candy man (am i forgetting anybody?)....I'll always see that as the move we should have made and just worried about an SF later.

I thought Collison was great against Harden. Crawford is solid when the opposing 2 is doing an iso play but if the opposition team is setting up screens, crawford is about 48 minutes late to contest. Luckily for us, two of the better teams, spurs and OKC, don't have a 2 guard in their top 2 players.

That is true about Crawford on guarding screens. I am concerned about him defending Thompson. Perhaps they could put him on Iguodala. Iguodala is a decent shooter, but not in Thompson's class in terms of shooting

Byron Mullens played for us this year, I know, I tried to forget too.

Dudley has actually been quite decent and positive lately though.

I think more important is that Iguodala doesn't run around as much. Jamal is not a good off-ball defender, he gets lost a lot.

Without Bogut, (or at least a healthy Bogut) you guys will have to have a really bad series to not at least get to the 2nd round.

Rootin' for y'all to win it all this year.

Hopefully you're right. I'm just nervous that Curry and Thompson will get super hot and that Lee will play super motivated like he seems to do against the Clippers. I'm also concerned that the Warriors will play extra hard as an effort to save Mark Jackson's job. They seem to really like him. Hopefully the Clippers are up to the task.

If Bogut does indeed miss the playoffs we'd have a much easier path to second round, although we do tend to play down to competition and they still can beat you any given night. But yeah, it's looking good to get a first round win and a boost in confidence while JJ, Crawford and Granger get healthier and in game rhythm.

Also, my dream championship path of Warriors > Thunder > Grizzlies > Heat is becoming more possible every day :D

Well...now that GSW is locked into 6th and Detroit is probably dropping the game against OKC....here's my thoughts on the 1st round matchup.

so I don't just keep beating a dead horse saying they aren't better than us....we can beat them....im not scared of them.

I view the Christmas game as the type of defense that will be played on Curry and it will wear on them over the course of a series.

Chris Paul's GREAT ball pressure is something Curry doesnt deal well with. He needs a guard to give him a little breathing room while he's handling the ball so he can do his song and dance, step back dipsy daisy routine to get his shot off. To the untrained watcher, it looks like, "oh he doesnt need ANY space to get his shot off." It's known by anybody who watches the Warriors (ME) that when guards who can pressure the ball well (CP and Pat Bev) get on this kid...he wont do anything without a screen.

thats fine IMO...because DJ and Griffin are really good at hedging and pushing him far out and CP freakin awesome at fighting around them....

this is what happened on Christmas before we got screwed out of the game...and Curry finally got SOME daylight with Collison on him in the 4th and scored a couple buckets....though he went 5-17 for 15 points.

Can Curry give us a, "fine ill shoot from 30 if u take the first 29 feet away" type attitude....sure
1) ill live with that over the course of a series.
2) CP will be chasing this kid around these screens....best bet is to flop, flail arms etc. etc. because I don't think he'll get comfortable.

if Curry uses his teammates...FINE...i'll take my chances on Klay and Iggy over the course of a series trying to beat our guys. I expect both to come up small when it counts.

the key to GSW imo is limiting turnovers and offensive rebounds.
turnovers lead to fast break threes....THE BEST threes in the world....offensive rebounds lead to the 2nd best threes...scattered defense...and almost always...Klay or Curry are the guys open off that scattering.

key to winning series:

let curry score 40ppg and don't let anyone else score more than 10points.
