i have been a clipper fan since somewhere of Ken Norman - Danny Manning - Charles Smith days, and found out about the hateful owner in a few years after starting to follow this franchise.

I hate the man.

I have hated Donald and wished him dead for more than a couple of decades. i've shed no tears when i heard about the death of his son. his antics, his history, his beliefs have no reflection of any of our ideas and philosophy, and again, this fat piece of human waste bag can't die soon enough.

If Magic buys the team, it will be weird, but better than Donald.

I prefer Geffin buys the team over magic, but he is already weird as is.

would not want my clips to move to Seattle, but frankly I can drive to Seattle to catch games or fly a much shorter flight than going to LA. i guess i would reluctantly accept it.

but no matter what, or even if nothing happens, remember people, with all the material goods or yes-men Donald can buy with his billions, he cannot buy eternity.

even if nobody kills this POS he will die of natural cause eventually, and being 80+ that he is, pretty soon.

I've never liked Sterling and knew he was always holding the franchise back. Honestly in the back of my mind I kept thinking what he might do to mess up all the good that's been happening. I really hope that something is done so that he sells the team. The sooner Sterling is gone the BETTER.

I say this from the bottom of my heart and it's not a troll post. Not showing up is the only way to show Sterling. At the end of the day, it's his team. He's the one benefiting. If you don't roll with Sterling, you shouldn't want to have anything to do with him. Yes you like the Clippers players. If you care about the Clippers players, you should encourage them to do the right thing. Just a matter of what's most important. I really mean this. Being the man that I am, it has always irked me to know this guys history. I've always hated being the guy at the gym after playing pick up having guys make jokes about pulling for a team with a racist owner. I've always stuck it out for the players and rationalized that I've never picked the team for Sterling. Hell, I've even said there's no way he's the only racist owner in all 3 sports I watch. My family holds season tickets to this man's games and has for 13 years....while I love this team, I'm going to need Silver to do me one solid here and lay the hammer.

Clippers are overrated. Paul is a good passer, but is too small and not exactly fast enough to be a Lebron. After Blake you don't really have any quality starters. How many points did Jordan have yesterday? The Clippers are not bad, but definitely nothing we can't beat, and nothing special compared to teams like San Antonio, OKC, Miami, Indiana when they have their head straight. Their fans are insane thinking they can win a championship. From here on out, all of their performances will be excused. Babies, and a piece of crap organization. They are not men.

Just don't forget this stuff from Warriors fans, or Mark Jackson claiming for an empty Staples at Game 5. And the worst, the non sense of any solidarity in Warriors team during all these days. I want to say that I am really sorry for what you fans are going through. You guys finally have a team that can seriously contend for a title and now they are distracted by all of this. I think the majority of us understand that, if it was Sterling on the tape, that it was an isolated case and that many of us do not associate his opinions with yours. I really hope you guys don't loose your team, you've been through a lot of heartbreaking and tanking years that I seriously am cheering for your team, partly because of JJ Redick. It's not over yet, and your team still has the potential to win, so I'll keep cheering for you. Open your eyes.
It would actually mean much more for the Golden State players to not show up (along with the Clippers).
And I encourage every fan from every team to do the right thing.

Sterling = NBA Owners

The NBA is going to "protect their own".
The Owners won't get rid of Sterling willingly.
It's up to the Players FROM EVERY TEAM, and all the fans too.

The entire league should have protested him, not just Clippers fans. Due to revenue sharing, he was making money off of all league profits (TV, jersey sales, etc). We have been trying to draw attention to Sterling's awful character for years, but seemingly nobody would listen.

Sterling is the longest tenure owner, and the only one ever to never go into red. he profited every season.

even during the times where a few thousand to maybe even a few hundreds would show up to games at the SportsArena, Sterling made some mad money from other teams attendance in revenue sharing. and of course never signed any free agents worth a damn to keep the payroll and overhead a bare minimum.

even if everybody walks, doc, CP, blake, DJ, and I mean everybody including the fans, IF Donald still owns the team, he will profit from it, in an empty arena and payroll that will struggle to meet the floor cap. NBA is now a multi-billion dollar industry annually. donald will not lose if allowed to keep the team.

for those kids who doesn't understand why he wouldn't sell the franchise when he can make another billion, you need to go back and do some study on his guy's history. he has NEVER sold a property that he could rent. NEVER. he buys cheap rental properties, collect rent until the real estate value inflates, collect more rent by charging more, while his mortgage is fixed, in time he could buy another, then another, then another. he hasn't stopped this practice since earning his law degree from the 3rd rate school the SouthWestern school of Law in 1960 and for the lat 54 years he has not sold a single rental property.

If Sterling tries to stop the sale after the vote that pushes him out, can he block the sale in the courts and if so, for how long? Or can Silver auction off the team immediately? I'm really worried that Sterling will be extremely stubborn and take the NBA to court even though it would the most losing of all losing battles to fight. The major thing I fear is that this court battle would extend for so long that Silver would make everybody on the team a free agent. Perhaps Silver could get the case expedited so as to not have this extend into next season. As Barkley stated, if training camp hits next season and he is still the official owner (even though banned), the pressure will mount on the team to not play and understandably so. However, if it seems clear that Sterling would clearly lose in court (I've read that he doesn't really have any basis for a challenge of being voted out), perhaps the personnel of the team would stick it out
