Jamal Crawford Wins 6th Man of the Year Award

Clippers shooting guard Jamal Crawford has won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com. It’s the second such honor for the 34-year-old, who also won in 2009/10 as a member of the Hawks.

Wow, I didn't even know he was a serious contender because he did start quite a few games. But congrats to Crawford, one of the most entertaining players in the league.

Very happy for Crawford and the team. He has been strong the pass two games for us. Hopefully we get a boost in game 6.

I really hope that he didn't win it because of pity votes due to the scandal. He should've won it last year anyway.

I believe as long as you come off the bench more than you start, you're eligible.

Crawford is the greatest 6th man of all time IMO. As far as guys who played in that role for the majority of their careers. Dude scares the **** out of me anytime he has the ball in his hands.

Congrats to Jamal. I believe that it was well-deserved and that he should have won last year as well. In the past, Jamal professed that he is a starter in the league, but over time he truly has embraced the 6th man role. He's a key component to making this roster work. He was a little uneasy with the coaching change at first and initially struggled trying to be something he wasn't. At that time, I wondered if it was best if we parlayed him into another big. Doc told him to be himself and he's done that ever since. Even though the back-up big situation remained shaky, Jamal was of more importance to us imo. He's been a great value to us and has basically become irreplaceable.
