Might go to court or maybe he stated that so that the NBA would not ask for a sale.

He needs to sell before players are allowed to walk.

Is Magic ownership better than Ballmer and his guys in Seattle
or is someone else a better candidate for ownership?

GTFO

we don't need vultures smelling blood in our most historic moments of our franchise.

and we have David Geffen who is a local billionaire who wants to buy the team. we don't need Ballmer, or Magic for that matter.
ehhhhh f it.

Court won't help him at all. He's done.
Someone LA based will buy the team.

Just cuz I like playing devil's advocate:

Has DTS done anything criminal against minorities lately? He has the 1st amendment right to be racist or say anything racist for that matter....

Again, keyword is: lately. ;) and don't give me some "he deserves it, doesn't matter" stuff ... This includes outside of basketball. Anything with his real estate business, etc.

that's not how the 1st amendment was intended.

the intended use of the 1st amendment is that your speech cannot imprison you. DTS isn't going to jail for this, he is still a freeman and a billionaire, therefore his first amendment rights have never been violated.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

NBA is a commercial entity with his own private rules. DTS violated those rules. he is being punished according to those rules. still no violation of the first.

there is a misunderstanding of what first amendment was intended to be, just like there is a misconception of the second amendment. the second amendment was never intended for crazy rednecks to stock up on lethal weapons. it was intended, by the standard of 1776, to keep your sovereignty protected through what they called a military then, a local militia.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

there was no air force or marines, or national guard. they had george washington's army, and the "local militias" that fought along for the independence. nowadays we have well regulated Army, well regulated Navy, a well regulated marines and air force, and national guard. there no longer is a need for private citizens to arm themselves, and that is not what the founding fathers intended.
ehhhhh f it.

Faaaaaantastic

That is great news then. I would seriously be surprised if they didn't command 1 billion + at this point. Didn't the BUcks sell for 650 mill??

If I applied for a job to work for the clips and didn't get hired was it because I'm black? If not prove it

Notes: Rookie Rudy Gay twisted his left ankle trying to guard McGrady late in the third quarter and limped to the bench. He returned with 5:51 left, then returned to the bench about a minute later - http://www.nba.com/games/20061231/MEMHOU/recap.html
