giving away the future TV contracts at discount.

isn't this an equivalent of having an oil company executive run the EPA? how will the clips capitalize on the future revenue stream if the cable tv executive runs our franchise?

hope the turner network and braves debacle doesn't happen with us.
ehhhhh f it.

This is great but we still need new ownership. My fanhood is on the line for next season if nothing else changes but this internally. :nonono:

I think you are right about this 100%. a lot of fans' fan hood maybe on the line depending how the ownership change issue is solved.

i just want a new owner that is not magic johnson. **** that fool. i'd rather him give us his cure for HIV than to own this team.

edit: and for people to say 'he has the basketball iq and winning quality we need'... doesn't matter... we're winning with sterling and i think the FO has done what it takes to make a winning basketball team... so ... we don't need magic. f' that foo.

I agree that the Clips need new ownership ASAP. However, if the Sterlings choose to drag the NBA to court, what is Silver supposed to do? Can he just sell the team off after the owners vote Sterling out or can Sterling file an injunction to stop that? There are a lot of unanswered questions about these types of scenarios?

Screw selling the team, just dump it. Let him keep it.... the nba is in demand, not Donald Sterling...they can create another franchise if need be.
Notes: Rookie Rudy Gay twisted his left ankle trying to guard McGrady late in the third quarter and limped to the bench. He returned with 5:51 left, then returned to the bench about a minute later - http://www.nba.com/games/20061231/MEMHOU/recap.html

This is just another step in getting rid of Sterling.

KDRE I think it's highly unlikely that the NBA would just get rid of the Clippers. The NBA isn't looking to contract and there is nothing wrong with the Clippers financially, only the owner.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Nothing at all.. It was a response to that post above mine. Im sure the NBA would contract the team and grant a new one before they allow this guy to remain the owner...

Just sayin

Yes I know and you're right. I was just posting one extreme to the one above mine.

I doubt it goes that far of course...we all know Sterling is in a losing battle.

the MLB didn't contract the Cincinnati Reds because of Marge, they simply found a new owner. Donald can talk tough all he wants about going to court, but California has always been known for serial killers who are just itching to have an excuse to go on a rampage. maybe a living grandson of Mrs Jones who was killed by Sterling might come forward?
