Continuity in coaching is good. When you have a good enough coach, it's good to keep them

Whatever you think of Doc as a GM, it's great to have stability on the coaching front. With Blake and CP3 guaranteed through 2017 at least, the Clippers finally have a foundation for a long period of time.

Who cares if Doc is being overpaid? I didn't think coaches were included in the salary cap.

I'm satisfied with this signing. We get a solid and well respected coach, who seems to be able to recruit both players as well as assistant coaches. He also did a good job keeping the team composed during all the headlines last year.

smart move to lock him in on a very lucrative coaching deal before upsetting him by signing a GM. i like the move. Well done, Steve. now go hire a big time GM and we are near complete.
ehhhhh f it.

I don't know much about Steve but I'm thankful we have an owner who isn't afraid to spend big!

Glad Steve secured Doc for the next few years. Hopefully we can win a title or two during the Rivers ERA.

I wouldn't care if he is paid $30m per season to be honest. I don't care if better coaches are paid less either; it has no effect on salary cap, and we're a profitable team, so if Balmer wants to throw his cash around that's fine by me.
