Yeah Gee would have been a nice pick up, specially for those end of games when you can just make substitutions for offense/defense.

Doc is one of those executives that plays checkers while others are playing chess. He can't think outside the box or turn low value assets into good ones. Oshley turned late 1sts into guys like Bledsoe, Doc uses them to dump contracts that should have been bargains like Dudley's. Good GM's turn underperforming veterans like Scola into guys like Plumlee that go from zero value to great future pieces. Doc pays 1st to dump those kind of players. Good GM's keep recycling young low value pieces into useful guys with trade value, Doc uses the space to sign the likes of Turkoglu and Granger who's upside at best is giving you a decent 10 mins a game for half a season then leaving for nothing.

I liked the Bledsoe trade but I thought that was more of a Sacks idea since Doc had just arrived, other than that I hate pretty much every operation he's done as an executive. Signing Hawes was ok, but any moron could have looked at the half dozen available big men and offer them the only thing we had, which was the MLE, then wait for who accepts the offer.
