Crawford has been struggling since his elbow injury, but I don't think he is exactly sliding. Other than his recent struggles (probably connected to his injury) he has played like he always has throughout his career

Jamal is a terrible defender who comes up with some really crucial steals.
JJ is a terrible defender who comes up with some really nice charges.

IMO Jamal has length which lessens the chance of other guards posting him up (unlike JJ). However, JJ tries a lot harder to get through screens than Jamal who can be perceived as a lazy defender who gets lost sometimes.

jj is not a great guy one on one but does ok. however he is a very good team defender and that's important in docs system. some things do not show up on stat sheets. terrible would not define him plus his effort is always there. how many 2 guys have shot their average against the clips? I really do not know but it would be interesting to find out.
