this team has to stop playing cp3 and blake ball when they are in trouble. the offense is good when you mix it up. they are to easy to stop when it's 2 on 5. something has to change.

I think the Game 5 meltdown served as the nail in the coffin to Chris Paul's ability to perform in the clutch. I wonder if he's now afraid to attempt a clutch shot or Sudden Death Shot for fear of having another meltdown.

Now Redick continues to choke on his free throws this season. When did this team lose its nerve? And now Korver out-springs Barnes in the jumpball in the last minute of regulation.

Let's not get carried away, he's not perfect, he's obviously still clutch.

I had to work late again so I missed the game. I was hoping for a win but saw that we came up short. I saw that we had a lead going into the 4th quarter but the Hawks came back. We did have a shot to tie the game up but Blake missed a tough contested 3. I think the scheduling before Christmas sucked, I can't believe we had 2 road games just a few days before we play the Warriors at home. Hopefully we win on Christmas so we don't have a 3 game slide. I saw that we didn't shoot very well either.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I think you guys are getting out of control with this "clutch" thing. small sample size can always make extreme swings.

for example, Mark Teahen lead the major league baseball in "clutch" hitting for several years just to nose dive as one of the worst in following years. the overall, career span of his "clutch" hitting stats were comparable to his career hitting.

clutch factor is not provable in a large sample in any sports.
ehhhhh f it.

plus, just so you guys understand, real life statistics are always dominated by streaks. W's and L's or hitting streaks versus mini slumps, or in my case, seeing cracked tooth for two days straight followed by nothing but root canals.
ehhhhh f it.

I don't think CP3's clutch levels are anything to worry about. We need to improve the first 40 minutes of our play so we aren't relying on clutch moments to win games.

I agree. Also, the overall defensive performance needs to improve substantially. Guys are missing rotations left and right. Not coverign for each other at all.

I forget who was singing the praises of Carroll in a thread before this game, but whoever it was was right on. What a game he played. He'd probably be the kind of player who is great on another team but subpar for the Clippers- like Dudley or CDR.

If that happens again, then there's something funky going on. Now, Dudley and CDR both had injuries slow them down, so if the Clippers got another guy and he got injured again, that would just be ridiculous.
