The bricks by Jamal, Redick and Hawes didn't help.

Jamal and Redick have Allen and Lee to deal with, what's Hawes excuse?

This game was simply a case of a bad shooting night / good opp defense and in the end we ran out of energy. CP was drained. DJ and Hawes were drained and didn't go set screens. Jamal was exhausted throwing wayward passes and JJ was letting his shooting slump get to him.

My opinion is quite unpopular here but I still think if we included DJ more in our offense it would help when we have poor shooting nights. Also Hawes is his own worse enemy.

I'm quite proud of our players for the effort they put in.

Pretty frustrating end, but I'm proud of the fight they showed. They played pretty decent defense for the most part, and our offense was bad, but we have one of our franchise players out. I'd like to see the Grizzlies come at us without Gasol.

Furthermore, for a little more optimism, we're consolidating ourselves in that 3rd to 6th seed alongside the Rockets, Mavs and Blazers. I'll be glad if we have to play any of those 3 in the 1st round, home court or not. As long as the Spurs and Thunder are in the last 2 seeds and the Grizzlies and Warriors are in the first 2, I like our match ups for the first round.

Memphis is just a hard team to get DJ the ball inside against, it wasn't because they didn't want to include him, its because Memphis knows how to play some good defense.

tough loss. should have won. 2 fouls on dj and no basket plus missed free throws was a game changer. also that long 3 was just luck. not making excuses but the refs did not help. it is hard to win when both jj and jamal do not shoot well. jj had good looks they just did not go in. it happens. go get Houston.

in the last seconds of a game with no time outs you should have a play for cp3 that you always use. it should be something you do from pre season. no excuse for confusion on a last play. high school coaches put that play in.
