WTH? Matt, you do know that this thread is 7 years old, right?

:o Wouldn't expect an old GT let alone mine to pop back up after 7yrs. Probably the last GT I made on this board I think.

I recall this way around the time the Clips board was looking for new mods after the previous mod retire from here. Unfortunately I forgot the poster's name. I only remember boogiesdad was the interim mod at the time and before I knew it, the Clips board was gradually taking off. So far, the results have been positive.

I believe you did one a couple of years ago. I think TrueLAFan was the mod when I first got here. Numba2 or OG probably know. Then Boogie and Manhattan Project took over for a bit after he retired.

I think you got it right, TrueLAFan was the mod when I first signed up in late 2005. I know once we had our own Mods loflin stepped in as the 2nd Mod for awhile. It's crazy to think that we had temp Mods and it lasted for awhile.

I was reading through my old posts and I remember being hopeful that we would be healthy and have a good year in the next season. LOL but this is what led up to Brand leaving along with some other free agents. All and all it turned out good for us since we would be getting Blake and we were able to trade for CP3. I'm just glad that those bad teams are behind us.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Some of that might have been my fault....

When I was in school, everybody knew that I was a Clipper fan. Starting off a season 0-16 or winning 9 total games (lockout season) were a little hard to deal with. If I could go back and do it all again, I still wouldn't do it any differently. The thing is, I'm not going to take having a better team for granted. Bad roster moves or not playing to full potential can be frustrating when it feels like you're so close, but it could be a whole hell of a lot worse.

I guess it was more recent than I thought. I knew it's been a minute. Time flies b/c at one point both Clips and Grizz found themselves in the NBA basement and were in search of a new identity and new players to fit both team well. Now 7yrs later both teams have found success, a heated rivalry, and play for one of the most challenging conferences in the NBA.

Let's hope that it's a long time before we may have to revisit that basement.

Return to Los Angeles Clippers
