They've peaked and at this point have nowhere to go but down with the current squad. While Blake is improving he has more to go, CP is declining and that wraps it up. The other half of the big 3 cant score without dunking

Well I wouldn't say Doc is doing nothing, but SVG was at the top of coaches I wanted the team to get. One of the reason was that he had coached Dwight and used his size, length, and athleticism to develop elite defensive around him, and the possiblity of him doing the same thing with DJ. SVG was able to build solid defenses mainly around one guy. He had Rashard as his PF, and some good defenders (Pietrus, C.Lee), and others who were above average-ish (younger Hedo).

Though their offense blows, with Detroit 6th in Drtg so far, looks like he's also been able to teach Drummond, and they have KCP who's an excellent defender on the wings. Whether that was possible with DJ though, I don't know.

We know the team needs to make some changes / adjustments, so we'll have to see what they end up doing.
