If you can't foul off the ball under 2 minutes you probably shouldn't be allowed to commit clearly intentional fouls in loose ball situations either, but I'll take it.

i didn't even know you could commit a foul in that situation if the ball goes in

interesting if it was doc or whoever on the bench was the first to come up with this, but it could definitely set a precedent for the future to be used against DJ

maybe it would have been better to take the loss in not doing that if it meant not giving other teams an insight to a clipper weakness

or maybe im thinking too far into it

1) It's a road win on the tail end of the road trip. I don't typically complain about whether the win is pretty or not on the road. Main objective is bring home the W.

2) Chris Paul did that same kind of foul to Dwight Howard last year in game 7

3) Drummond has been intentionally unintentionally fouled before. It was just 2 weeks ago that PJ Tucker slammed into Drummond while Drummond was setting a screen "unintentionally" because there was under 2 minutes left in the game.

People love to say that there's no need for a rules change...just make your free throws. Then fine, live with teams operating in a shrewd manner and forcing others to make their free throws.

Yeah the Blazers started doing that loose-ball-foul stuff to DJ last year, or the year before, when DJ was setting a screen in the last 2 mins of close games. Coaches are just getting more and more creative with it. Shout out to all the "just make your free throws" crew, what you're actually getting is more and more time of awful free throw shooting late in close games, and it'll keep creepin up until someone with a lick of sense convinces Silver that it's moronic to approach the problem with that backwards oldschool mentality.

Anyway, good game, I loved the 2nd quarter as one of those once-in-a-blue-moon times we actually play great defense for a sustained period, and I still love how we can just generate offense like it's no big deal down the stretch, both tonight and in the Brooklyn game. Open shots just weren't going in tonight, but that's not a long term problem.

ha, that was funny, Jamal did the same thing but he was slower than JJ (you can actually see JJ running in the background): https://streamable.com/33j8

Paul did it in the Brooklyn game too: https://streamable.com/vk30

So much for all the dysfunction in the locker room that Simmons and them were trying to force feed (again) before the season. I love this group of guys and don't care what anyone else thinks

seeing team camaraderie like this, along with seeing lance so hyped on the bench despite not playing really makes you think that once everyone is healthy and roles hopefully (please doc) get a little more defined, that this team can take it up to the level that the spurs and the warriors are at

Do you think the media - particularly Bill Simmons - was purposely trying to destroy the team? Say falsifying bad things to get Doc to croak and make a bad trade? Make the Clippers miss the playoffs because of fabricated internal fighting? Turn Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan from friends into enemies? It's all about turning the Clippers back into losers, right?

lol nah, nothing as epic as that Wammy, not everything is a carefully laid out plan like that. He just hates Doc and tries to stir up sh*t and turn the public opinion on him every chance he gets, but he doesn't have that much power.

Wammy you truly think of the most outrageous things aha. I was wondering why the last couple of games our players were running to the locker room fast.
